Is there any way to turn this idiot off but leave Marv going? Kerr just says the stupidest stuff, I mean, if he was a coach you'd call a time-out everytime you got scored on. Never shoot open 3's becuase you'd be put into the "fundamental" league. Getting a hand in someones face while they are shooting is "poor" defense. It just gets ridiculous what this guy says. I'd say he was overrated as a player too...since he pretty much only played on the best teams in the NBA.

man you're just hating from front to back on kerr. No, there is no way to turn him off without turning marv off also.

Yes, Kerr is the MOST annoying weasel faced idiot I have heard.

Everything he says is DUMB...

You could hit 60 shots in a row and he would say you are shooting poor.

I leave them both turned off anyway because the announcements are limited VERY limited.

All you hear is the same recycled bla blah bla...

Also yes he wasn't a good player he just had the range down from 3 because thats all he did. The only time he was ever used for the bulls was when they needed a 3 so they put an extra man on the court just had good 3P% like him and Craig Hodges. If he was good he would have took washed up Ron Harpers place.

Isn't it going a tad too far to develop a dislike for the real person because of what he says in a video game?

Besides, I think the real problem there is that the commentary AI still has its faults, selecting inappropriate tracks that don't fit the situation; like mentioning things that have happened "all game long" in the first couple of minutes or Steve Kerr talking about the need for a timeout then the game choosing to pull up the bit about it being a hasty decision.

yeah, you'll be in the 08/09 season and they'll be talkin about the 04-05. Sometimes they talk about a player and don't even get the right player. And then they'll say "he's a notoriously poor free throw shooter" and the person drains 2 in a row.

Well, most of the time when he says the person is a bad free throw shooter they really are, it's just the CPU cheating you. Like games where Shaq goes 10/10 from the line really piss me off.

I think Kerr is an excellent commentator actually, and a better one than Fratello.
But, as Andrew said, the commentary AI isn't very good at all... Hopefully they'll record a lot more stuff for 07 so that can be avoided.

They do it all the time, like, when someone is shooting FT's they will show you his FT avg, it will say like .640 or something then it will show Tonight: 6/6 or whatever it is.

i dont like bill walton as a color man

doug collins is a great color man, and kevin harlan or marv albert are both great announcers, but i think kevin collabro is the best play by play announcer, but people'd prolly like marv more just cuz hes more famous. I say they use doug collins as the next color man, hes the best by far, and john thompson would be a cool assistant color man, or put in steve kerr as an assistant color man.

That's not exact but its something like that. That really cracks me up.

Yeah, Steve Kerr can be annoying, they need to fix up his AI, because the open 3 point shooting thing is annyoing, and sometimes it happens when they have 2 big guys camped in the key on a fast break and I pull up for three because I would get owned if I drove inside. His timeout startegies also piss me off.

i dont hate kerr. sometimes when i watch nba, i often say things worse than him when my fave team collapses.

and when you're in the multiplayer mode, it's just fun when kerr insults your opponent's plays. "giving up hoop after hoop after hoop" lol

kerr is much better on TNT than in the game, and i think kenny smith and steven a smith and bill walton are good in small doses, a lot of them, such as play by play, would really suck. It is like when kramer from seinfeld tried to get his own show, it sucked, and when joey from friends tried to get his own show, it sucked, and steven colbert getting his new show (though good its nowhere near the daily show).

The point is, stick to somebody calm and with a smart and non-annoying voice, i.e. doug collins with steve kerr backing him up.

When the CPU decides it wants to dominate and/or win, very little seems impossible. Throughout the series the CPU tends to find a way to shoot well with poor free throw shooters. Not always, but NBA Live's virtual Shaq does seem to fare better from the stripe than his real life counterpart, at least in my experience.

Actually surprised he was able to utter the words "stupid" and "Moron" in the game
