GEFORCE4

MX=Crap. If you want to save some money for now and eventually upgrade, look at the GeForce 3 series. If you REALLY want to save some money now, look at the GeForce2-Ti. They're around $50 with 64MB. That's what I'm using and the only downside is not being able to FULLY max out the detail settings. The GeForce FX card is coming out in the next few months, so if you buy the 2-Ti now, the FX card will push the 4 series prices down to reasonable levels...

I can MAX everything with my Geforce 4 MX-440 with fullscreen 4x anitalaising, anostropic filtering and whatever else. I don't know what you're all talking about....works beautifully, I highly recommend it.

Might work ok with NBA live, but if you play any graphically demanding games or plan on keeping the card as your primary card for any length of time I would recommend against it.

I've had a Geforce 4 MX440 and a Geforce 4 Ti4200. In 3D Mark 2001, I got about 4900 with the MX440. Then i upgraded to the Ti4200 and now i'm getting around 11500. Its more than double the score. I can now run all games at 1600x1200 with everything maxxed out and it will be perfectly smooth. I strongly reccomend that if you buy a Geforce4 that you buy one of the Ti's. I'll never get an MX card again. Yes, there is that much of a difference believe it or not. 8)

And in price as well.

I was told when I got this card that I could get better value for my money but in the end, the card is fine for people who don't need hardcore graphics like me.

When I've got some money, I'll upgrade but for now it goes fine with all games.
