Are there some game which u just have to loose?

I just wanted to know if anyone else notices this...that some games u just have to loose.
Exaple: i play with NYK on superstar, and i got a pretty good team, Marbury, Peirce, Chandler, Curry, Q, Peja. And we've won 6 games straight just killing the other team, most games we are up 15-25 after 3 qauters, then CPU cat-up thing comes in.

But then i played Bulls and could not do anything! None of the usual shots were going in, and for them everything was good and easy! They were pulling 3s by Dang and Nocioni and Duhon! and every qater we would go down by more and more! lost by 30 at the end!

Plenty of times, mostly in this year's edition. In previous years I've been able to fight it off more often but this year's comeback logic is quite vindictive.

No, it's still part of the game. It's just particularly aggressive this year.

I always have problems with the Bulls and the Hawks, it's always a close game or they win by a few. Well, I've won a couple too. I think the bad teams are hard to beat because their junky PG like Lue will score 30+ points on you, rebounds will go straight through your guy's hands, passes will be deflected by guys standing around and then magically sliding into the passing lane.

I had the comeback kill me on time...i had the fuckers down by 2...and the cpu just kept fighting and hard fouling hoping to have me miss shots. Finanlly they hit a 3 at the buzzer with a dude that is not supposed to hit 3's...bing..they won.

In my Jazz dynasty I had the same problem against Chicago and lost after winning my first five or six games.

I lost to the Spurs recently on a halfcourt jumpshot that banked in from Duncan (Is this humanly possible from him?).

Today I lost a game in Euroleague at the buzzer to the center on Maccabi with 3 guys in his face (This guy also hit a three to end the half from almost half court). This one was midway between the 3pt line and halfcourt.

So yeah, EA deserves red ants in their boxers.

recently i was playing in the first round of the playoffs with the a slighty altered magic against the bulls on superstar. I creamed them in the first 3 games no contest, but game 4 was a different story. i couldnt hit the broad side of a barn, at the end of the game i was like 6 of 24 from the freethrow line. Im pretty sure there was nothing I could do to win that game.

I find that the 1st quarter and 4th are the hardest. if the cpu gets on a roll in the first quarter you are in for a tough game where you miss every shot, steals galore, etc. I just try to slow it down (even though i am pissed) and call timeouts.

the 4th in a close game is another story. if you are up by around 6 the cpu will continue to score and you have to make free throws. i was up by 4 with about 15 seconds and the CPU hit a wild three. i make 2 free throws. 3 seconds left and the cpu hits a half court shot. i ended up winning in OT though.

if you can beat the cpu in the first then you should win the game. sometimes i get up by 15 and always hang on to win. i even beat the cpu by 50 when they shot about 20%.

yeah it happens, but it's nice you know that once in a while even without readjusting the sliders, the cpu could beat you. so bring your 'A' game! that's what superstar level is about.

actually i like that ''feature'', i mean i can feel you all it sucks but hey, come to think about it, im only playing with the Sixers and thats what its like in reality, they lead by no matter how many points and still lose it all in the 4th quarter, so in case you play with the Sixers this is pure realism, lol . actually i shouldnt be laughin, its just sad

i dont like playing with denver. andre miller is so good at making close to the basket, one handed jump shots. and he sinks it even with at hand in his face.

i was playing the nets (rat:84)vs the spurs(rat:89)...tony parker made a lot of trays(i did contest most of them as i realised he had the ability but he shoots like hes kobe!)...in the 4th quarter i make a run n had the lead by 12 and suddenly those 3pt shooting become more sh**...and when it is less than a minute less in the game i lead by 2, i made a steal for the open dunk(to seal the win)...but IT MISSED!...(they made a basket which tied then)at the final seconds ginobili with the ball at dribblig still beyond the arc so i doubled team him...well, he made that sh** tray...i

n my theory the team ratings affect the cmeback mode thing...try the team rates 99 vs a low one...you got the flow...
then with the team with the strong starting lineup then releasethe bench(which drops the rating)(fatique:0) play a agaisnt a higher ratings one.......u kknow what happen...

hook shot and some other fss moves arnt affected by the comeback mode...
this is just my opinion ...

I have a PG on my Dynasty team who has 99 3PT shooting. I can't rely on him to make the open 3-pointer when I need it. Ever.

It's the most frustrating thing on the planet. Especially when the game's on the line. People can't miss with hands in their face, you execute perfectly...get a WIDE OPEN SHOT with a guy with NINETY-NINE 3-point rating and he clangs it. More than once.

I was playing my Cousin, and I wasn't in a good mood so I was beating him by 24 or something like that going into the fourth. He just starts shooting treys without bothering to execute the offense. Just pass to a guy behind the 3pt line, shoot.

He went 10/14 in the quarter. I ended up winning by something like 9...but I was so steamed you could've fried an egg on my head.

lol I am having the same problem now. I am playing a Euroleague season and I have a shooting guard who initially had like a 90 3pt rating. He never hit a single one. I altered it over and over (even adjust sliders) until I reached 99 and he still wouldnt hit. He will be wiiiide open and he cant hit a jumshot if it was to save his life. It leaves me tearing out my pubic hairs at night.

I managed to win the previous one despite missing seven wide open layups while the CPU managed to hit anything it tossed up but I just dropped one to the Heat. Jason Williams hit the go-ahead three for them under a lot of pressure. My attempt to take the lead at the other end - a wide open layup under the hoop with Shawn Kemp who was still fresh - missed badly. Needless to say I didn't get the offensive board the CPU would have and I ended up losing by five.

I made a point of that in the Wishlist Supplement I posted last week, "selective abilities" is what I called it. I'm sure EG and other longtime players will agree that if you've been playing the series since its inception, you're fairly good with the timing on jumpshots. Yet wide open shots seem to miss frequently while the CPU keeps tossing up difficult shots and making them...or getting the offensive board and scoring anyway...or if they don't score on the first putback, they'll usually get three or four chances despite your position and the rebounding abilities of your bigs.

The thing is, you can (or I can at least) kind of put up with it when you win. In fact, there's a real sense of accomplishment when you can beat the comeback code because quite often when the CPU decides it wants to dominate it doesn't matter how much skill you employ especially if your team doesn't have many FSS capable players. It really does sting when you lose because of it though. It wouldn't matter if it was here and there but pretty much all of my losses this year have been because of the comeback code rather than me making mistakes and paying for it.

In any case, I'm hoping it will be toned down in 07.

I'd have to agree that it makes me REALLY pissed. Especially because when I play on the same team with someone else, it takes a while for me to convince them to pass the ball and try and to be open and not to just put up wild shots...and then stuff like that happens...

In the last March Madness game I had (I think 2004), they had a Slider for "Momentum Swings" that seemed to control when the computer would make you start missing shots.

Why isn't this in Live? I'm not an EA-hater, but I don't understand why they would program something like that in and give you no control over it.

Yet another reason why Live 2001 was my favorite game. People made shots when they were open and missed them when they were covered. If there were sliders that could control contested and open jump shooting individually, then I could set one at 0 and the other way high and be happy.

You know, the exact same thing happens to me. I was Phoenix Suns, and I was against the Hawks (first game) and by the 2nd quarter I was up by like 14 points, then at the end of the game I lose by like 10 cause Lue scores 30+, points. And, then whenever I tried to use Nash's fancy passes they would either go out of bounds or would get intercepted. I haven't played the Bulls yet, and I'm not looking forward to the game either.
