v1.06 released...

Talk about NBA Live 06 here.

I already boosted Gomes in the latest update, I'm not convinced he needs to go any higher just yet. But we'll see what happens between now and the next update. (Y)

Thanks for the latest, all noted. :)

Hey, great job on making the actual dunk contest participants the defaults. Now can you please do the same for the 3-point shootout on 1.07?

to jugs and clubber77... if you placed the legend avery johnson player in your game (via the missing legend addon) then the link below might help with your purple faced avery johnson coach...

Ah, makes sense. Thanks for clearing that up. (Y)

Hey Andrew, i got another player he forgot. Channing FRYE!!! He has one of the top 5 jumpers for a big man and yet in this game it is so dificult to make a jump shot with him and the bigs that ryan mention like Kurt and Nocionni. Frye has defenetly a 19 to 20 ft range. He is money and i would only put Dirk and Sheeds jumper over frye. So that should give you a little indication of how good it is. He normally doesnt take 3's because most of his jump shots come of pick and rolls. So his 3 point range should be real real low close to 0.

I am glad you finally changed Nate's dunking ability. I had mentioned that like 2 or 3 times right after the game came out and even posted some clips. I had said it should be atleast in the range of 90 to 93 and now finally after more than half a season you raised it to what it should have been. Better late than never :P

Well, anyways, great roster patch as always. You by far make the best ones i have seen my whole life. Keep up the good work.

@ andrew: One question: Is it possible to add some own-created players to your roster and start a dynasty then?

In earlier versions, the dynasty crashed after the end of the offseason, when the trainingscamp ended, because of the own created players.

Has this problem been fit?

Unfortunately it can't be done the same way, I haven't figured out a way to change those participants. If I do, absolutely I'll change them.

Dynasty: No
Previous versions of the roster: Yes
Art files in sgsm: Yes, if they have the same names as the included files

Nothing I've done with the rosters should have caused this error, I don't know why it occurs. It can be resolved by replacing birthstate.dbf and birthtown.dbf with the original files from originaldb or the NBA Live 06 CD.

Good job Andrew..

I was wondering.. Did you change Wade's body in this patch? I just played with him but didn't notice any major change.. Ok, maybe slightly thicker but then again, it can be my imagination.. Is Wade's body different or did you just leave the default type?

maybe you can check the ff. out:

hawks josh smith current block rating 60. his average: 2.5 bpg in 29.4 mpg. pao gasol's rating 82. his average: 2.0 bpg in 39.2 mpg.

bobcats gerald wallace current steal his average: 2.5 spg, 2.2 bpg in 35 mpg. just use the others mentioned for comparison.

lakers smush parker current steal rating 54. his average: 1.7 spg in 33.8 mpg. kobe's rating 80. his average: 1.8 spg in 40.8 mins.

grizzlies battier current block rating 34. his average 1.3 bpg in 35.7 mpg. garnett's rating 80. his average: 1.4 bpg in 39 mpg.

suns diaw higher block. his average: blocks: 1.1 bpg.

kings artest is an underrated passer. he is rated currently at 36.

kings garcia higher block. his average: 0.7 spg, 0.9 bpg. in just 21.7 mins per game.

note: the freestyle superstar addition may have screwed up some ratings but i think high averages still warrant high ratings. :D

I think Gerald Wallace should be a Defensive stopper(inside/outside or both) because he leads the league in steals per game and is 9th in blocks per game.

Also, I think JRich's 3pt rating should be higher(not sure what it's at now cuz I have'nt DL'd the roster yet) but he's 2nd in 3 pointers made in the NBA(ahead of guys like Arenas, Billups, Peja, Nash etc.). Perhaps that should even warrant an outside scorer ability.

batista

Postby jmmontoro7 on Sun Mar 12, 2006 4:17 am

can you take a look at hawk's batista?? i think he deserves a little bit more than what he has.
http://www.nba.com/playerfile/esteban_batista/index.html
he's a great rebounder, i don't know exactly which stats i'm refering to, but take a look at his profile and decide
thanks!

I think that D. Songaila deserves a much better field goal rating. It's currently ~37 or smth. like that, even though he ranks 35th in hte NBA in FG percentage (~50%). So please note that.

I'm sure it's higher than 37, but I'll check on that anyway. (Y)

I'll look at Batista's ratings but a glance at his stats doesn't really warrant a huge boost. Perhaps rebounding, but that's certainly all.

seems that iguodala is rated 78 @ steals just enough for him not to be an outside def ; he's no. 17 in steals per game in front of lebron and j-rich , and 14 in steals in nba ; the 80 block stuff for iguodala was exagerated and now it's good ... and we move on to josh smith : 2.53 bpg , Ranks #6 in the NBA in Blocks Per Game(2.53) Ranks #4 in the NBA in Blocks(144.0) Ranks #3 in the NBA in Blocks Per 48 Minutes(4.13) ,in 1.06 he's 60 block rated... and one more for now , it's Chris Paul Ranks #2 in the NBA in Steals(124.0) , Ranks #7 in the NBA in Assists Per Game(8.0) , Ranks #3 in the NBA in Steals Per Game(2.18) , Ranks #7 in the NBA in Assists(455.0) ... and he aint a playmaker or a out def ...

.... and maybe u could check out dwight howard to , he's 89 def rebs and 70 off rebs and in nba he's Ranks #1 in the NBA in Rebounds Per Game(12.3) , Ranks #2 in the NBA in Offensive Rebounds Per Game(3.5) :hump:
