thx, just what u said, but I still have problem with playing team basketball, when you have a Marbury... I think more Assists and more Rebounds, I didn´t have that many TO´s but u know the bug when you try to steal and the ball is out of bounds = turnover ....

Knicks come up short vs Clipps, "Cut" wins it
Clippers win over Knicks 103-100, Mobley with the game winner 1.3 seconds before the end.

This night, the Knicks played well, but again couldn´t come up with the win. In their first game at home they made a great offensive effort.
The Clippers started the game with the goal of giving the ball to Elton Brand. He scored their first 6 points of the game. Quentin Richardson, who played at the Small Forward spot as a starter had a strong first quarter scoring 8 points, 4-4 from the charity stripe.

"We played well tonight, I just can´t believe we didn´t pull this one away"
, a visibly disapointed "Q" moaned after the game.
1st quarter´s best performer was young Clipp Daniel Ewing.
He came in for 3 minutes making 13 points, giving the Clipps a 31-24 lead.

The 2nd quarter both teams played strong defensively, Corey Maggette had 8 points and Steve Francis fired up scoring 6 points and dishing out 4 assists. At halftime the Knicks were once again behind, 55-48.

.Image | Daniel Ewing was hot in the 1st.Image| "Q-Rich" got his chance

But in the third the Knicks came out hot. "We were simply on fire, if we play like this more often we gonna make something this season", Steve Francis, who scored 10 points and dished out 4 assists in the 3rd, said.
And it seemed like everybody got it going, even Jalen Rose, who was benched this game, hit two treys. The Clippers hardly connected, Mobley held them in the game with 6 points and 2 assists. The Knicks outscored L.A. 32-19 and led by 6.

But the Clippers bounced back in the 3rd. Their Go-to-Guys each scored 6 with Maggette hittin an important 18 footer to tie the game. Knicks simply couldn´t connect, Frye had only 1 from 6 in the last and Marbury only 5 points. Sam Cassell, who had 8 turnover but also 10 assists made two freethrow with 1:20 left to give them a 95-92 lead, but the next turn Marbury hit a three.
The match was exciting, when Steve Francis had a Power Slam and Quentin Richardson made his only three. But Clipps tied the game at 100 with 13 seconds to go. The ball went to Mobley, 1.4 seconds left and he hit it, unanswered by the Knicks.

"I didn´t even know I would get it, usually we make a try with Elton in the post, but I´m lucky it went in", a happy Cuttino Mobley said.

"I´m surely not happy, but I see the improvement, and I think today we had the chance to win, so let´s move on"
, Larry Brown said after the game.

The Dunk Of The Night was posted by Maggette posterizing David Lee reverse !

Garnett, Banks do it for Wolves, Knicks keep on struggling
Minnesota beats New York 106-110 giving them their 2nd road defeat.

This time the Knicks didn´t even approximately reach their performance of the game against the Clipps one day ago, and deserved their third loss.

After leading 10-2 in the first, the Knicks became light-headed, allowing the Wolves six consecutive baskets, four of them hit by Kevin Garnett.
"He´s da MVP, he showed it again and I´m really glad to play with somebody like him", Ricky Davis said, who sat
out most of the first quarter due foul-trouble.
After the first Minnesota lead by 3, 25-22.

In the 2nd Knicks recovered and played well basketball, particularly defense.
Stephon Marbury had 2 steals and 8 points, but "KG" and Eddie Griffin kept the game alive for the Wolves, grabbing board after board,

"That´s amazing, we simply couldn´t stop them of gettin´ this 2nd chances", Eddy Curry claimed. He had a strong first half, scoring 10 points, mostly in the paint.
But Knicks still trailed by 1 after the 2nd, 49-48.

In the 3rd Minnesota simpley blew out the Knicks. Almost every shot attempt went in, Wolves shot about 80% in this quarter.
Players like Justin Reed and mark Blount stepped up, continuing what "Da Kid" and Griffin did before, grabbing boards.

Knicks Jamaal Crawford scored 8 of his points in the 3rd and Marbury added 6, but the Knicks couldn´t stand the strong performance by the Wolves. Marcus Banks started heating up with 8 points.
Minnesota led by 10 after this one.

In the 4th, the Marcus Banks show began. He hit 3 threes, two of them tying the game after a short comeback by the Knicks. Channing Frye scored all of his 6 and Quentin Richardson hit a three to tie the game, but
"The momentum wasn´t there, we just didn´t feel confident,", Marbury said.

Marcus Banks fired up 12 points in this quarter and Knicks didn´t make their open shots.

"I´m just disappointed with the performance of some players, these players should know that", Larry Brown said angrily probably meaning Frye and Rose. Both combined for 13 points only.
"A good backcourt isn´t the whole thing, you know, we had a pretty nice all-around game, and that made it for us, "KG", the Player of the Game said later.

Best Knick in the 4th was Steve Francis, he had 12 of his 19 points and shooting 100% in the game. Marbury had a season high 23, and Quentin Richardson 12 points, Curry 18.

Kevin Garnett had a game high 29 points, Marcus Banks scored 23 and Eddie Griffin 11.
The Wolves shot .61 from the field and outrebounded the Knick 41-31.

The Play Of The Game AND The Dunk Of The Night were posted by "Da Kid", Kevin Garnett !

Channing Frye has really made some progress:

He improved his Off.Reb, Def.Reb, Stealing, Jumping and Quickness, all by one.

I might try to get a good rebounder, was thinking of Danny Fortson or Zaza Pachulia, because I cant affort better players ...

NOVEMBER

The month November is over, and here´s a review

Standings

Atlantic Division

Image
The weakest division, lead by a .500 record team. Says it all.

Southeast Division

Image
One suprise here, the Bobcats. With a team-effort they went for a 5-2 record. 5 players in double figures scoring and great defense made it possible.

Central Division

Image
Supposed to be the best eastern division, mainly the Cavs disapoint with the last place.

Southwest Division

Image
The Champion leads, Dallas is weak and Houston´s doing fine.

Northwest Division

Image
Portland leads suprisingly, Denver and Minnesota are doing well.

Pacific Division

Image
Phoenix behind the L.A. teams.

Awards

East and West Rookie Of The Month

Image
"CP3"´s scoring lifted him to the western rookie of the month award

Image
Bogut´s rebounding was the main factor for his nomination

East and West Player Of The Month

Image
Kobe is the 3rd best scorer in the league

Image
Boston leads the atlantic division, mainly because of Paul

MVP Candidates

Transactions

The Suns release Pat Burke
