How to shoot a hook shot.

Postby R.J. on Sat Feb 25, 2006 8:11 am

Some people were wondering how to shoot a hook shot instead of that face up shot with post men. Well, I've figured out how. All you need to do is have the ball without dribbling, then press left on the right analog stick, then press shoot. This will make him shoot a hook shot.

You should be on either block, it doesn't matter which one.

doing it with the ball need the player to be in a certain position, mostly shoulder facing the rim OR running while have the shoulder facing the rim and shoot.u can also a half hook shot by letting ur big men hold the ball in the paint(facing the rim).and press left or right while shooting the ball(he will do a chris mihm-like shot)

doing without the ball ,i dont know

for freestyle super stars, its inside scorer, super star trigger and pass

You guys didnt know? To do the hook shot your inside scoere has to be runnin a certain direction and while hes in that runnin motion you push whichever button it is and hell do it.

So Post up, choose a direction to run to and push the combo

just hold the backdown button and press the shoot button. only players with higher inside scoring can do this.

hookshots are not very accurate unless they're superstar hookshot. id rather move away from the paint and do a normal jumpshot.

UPDATE: You need to pump fake first, then tap the right analog stick left, then press shoot. It works 100%. :)

For all you illeterate ones, it's the regular hook shot that I stated in the first post.

Go from the black line to the arrowhead, press shoot.

Reminder : Do not hold the movement button while pressing shoot or you would just do a fadeaway. MUST NOT face the basket
