Fantasy drafts

Postby pistons_alltheway on Thu Feb 23, 2006 1:11 pm

I want to do a fantasy draft but i don't know who to choose. I am tired of drafting all the best players like Lebron and CB4. I want to go young and athletic, any ideas would be much appreciated.

Well if you want a great team thats fun to play with and exciting here's the team i'd have

C - Bogut
PF - Frye / Charlie Villanueva (7th pick by Raptors)
SF - Josh Smith
SG - I personally love Tracy Mcgrady but you can go young and get Gerald Green (70 overall)
PG - Sebastian Telfair is the best period. But there are many great PG's you can get

My team was

C - Bogut
PF - Villanueva
SF - A guy named Rodrick Duke [R. Duke, you can draft him] (72 overall and a superstar [shooter])
SG - Tracy McGrady - Soo good
PG - Sebastian Telfair - 99 speed, you have to love that

he becomes 85 if you train him right??? Cause Bogut became 85 in about 3 years but i left him alone and he improved himself... i only trained him for like 1 month in 1 season and 2 weeks in another :D

I'd say go young with small cap space, that way in your first year you can sign a coulpe 1 year contracts with some guys to give you an early title run.

C- Okafor
PF- Bosh
SF- LeBron
SG- Dwayne Wade
PG- Kirk Hinrich

Bench
Ben Gordon
Chris Paul
Channing Frye
Andrew Bogut
(you can throw in the rest, other young players like Deron Williams or Marvin Williams or Andre Iguadala)

PF - Bosh
SF - Lebron
SG - R. Duke

SG - R. Duke

every draft is different, so this duke guy might be good in one dynasty, and crap in the second

I am playing my trailblazers dynasty and I am still having fun in my 13th year now.

c-amare stoudemire (the best power player pound for pound, led my dynasty to 11 straight championships)
pf-spiro williams (90 overall at age 25 , unable to gain any fss ability though)
sf- evander gillam (91 overall at age 24, inside scorer)
sg - martell webster (outside scorer, shooter, 99 overall, 5 time mvp, next gen reggie miller with superb speed)
pg - sebastian telfair (95 overall, playmaker, outside stopper, waaaah...the greatest stealer ever  )

-----
6th man - gerald green (91 overall, 99 dunk, 99 jumping, 95 speed, dr. J i say!)
7th -andrew bynum - believe it or not he will become the next shaq! 95 overall (power, ins stopper)
8th - samuel dalembert (still an inside stopper at age 33)
9th - shaun livingston (will develop playmaker skills at 3rd yr in dynasty)
10th -andrew chen (a filipino  with super sub skills, 74 overall, 1st rnd, 30 overall, 3yrs pro)

what's important in getting the most out of your players is that you have to look at the create a superstar thread in the forums section and look at the ratings of young players that one will about to pick so that one will be looking forward to the possibility of having fss abilities come off-season. I had 3 assistant coaches, 1 A+, 1 A, 1C+. just train players for 4 weeks, having it maxed out on desired skill. Btw, spending money on scouts is just a waste of money! I did my roster all on trades and not utilizing the fantasy draft. I just thought it would make sense if i posted this cuz my roster looks like it came from one.
