Is a GeForce FX5500 a good enough card to play this game?

Talk about NBA Live 06 here.

no, no, no ... radeon 9600 is still the BEST super budget card out there! of course it will not run the latest games @ max res & max settings, but when everything is @ med., the gameplay is silky smooth ... games like BF2, HL2, CS:S, NBA Live 06, etc. for under $70!!!

How can you say a 9600 is better than a 9800?

I would take a 9550 over the 9600 btw.

The 9550 is basically an underclocked 9700.

maybe it is better when you factor in price but i'd still think the 9800 is better. Of course sometimes the lower is better. the 6800 GS is better than the 6800 GT yet the GT is said to be the better card, you can overclock a 6800 GS to be as good as a 7800 too.

He's talking about the best budget card, so price is a huge factor. If everyone could afford the best, they would get the 7800gt, but we all can't.

I would even like the 9800, but I just cant afford anything over $60 right now. I might even take the 6800 over the 9800.

I clickon dizzin9's link and saw if you can spend 69.99(80~ with shipping) you can get a 9600xt(refurbished) which is a nice card.
