Hi.. I sended Pm with my configuration please reply in PM so i can send you config.

Fri Feb 17, 2006 9:29 am

Hi Voyager, can you also sent me your configurations because i'm having the same problem with crossover and playcall1. The only solution for me is to delete bind pov0_n PLAYCALL1.

Thanx man, i appriciate your work.

How to do it:
first download and install PPjoy http://www.simtel.net/product.download. ... p?id=75176

then start the program (start - program -> Parallel Port Joystick -> Configure Joysticks)

Press button "Add" and chose Parallel Port: Virtual Joystick, Controller number: Controller 1
(windows will install a virtual joystick in hardware devices just follow the instructions)

Now press button "Mapping" and chose "Set a custom mapping for this controller"

continue and chose everything like written below:

4 Axes, 12 Buttons, 1 POV hats
Axis 1: X Axis,
Axis 2: Y Axis,
Axis 3: Z Axis,
Axis 4: Z Rotation

X Axis: Analog 0,
Y Axis: Analog 1,
Z Axis: Analog 2,
Z Rotation: Analog 3

Button 1: Digital 0 ... Button 12: Digital 11

Direction button POV:
North - Digital 12,
East - Digital 15,
West - Digital 14,
South - Digital 13

Done.

next steps are needed to set it up for live 06:

Now chose PPJoyKey (Start - Program - Parallel Port Joystick - PPJoyKey)

Joystick device: Virtual joystick 1.

Up = Up (Keyboard: up)
Down = Down (Keyboard: down)
Left = Left (Keyboard: left)
Right = Right (Keyboard: right)
Z Axis - = Freestyle move (Keyboard: X)
Z Axis + = Freestyle move (Keyboard: C)
Z Rotation - = Freestyle Crossover/Spinmove (Keyboard: F)
Z Rotation + = Backdown (Keyboard: Y)
Button 1 = seems to be useless
Button 2 = Rebound (Keyboard: E)
Button 3 = Turbo (Keyboard: Spacebar)
Button 4 = Timeout/intentional foul (Keyboard: Q)
Button 5 = Dunk (Keyboard: W)
Button 6 = Pass (Keyboard: S)
Button 7 = Shot (Keyboard: D)
Button 8 = Direct pass (Keyboard: Left Ctrl)
Button 9 = Alley Oop (Keyboard: A)
Button 10 = Superstartrigger (Keyboard: Left Shift)
Button 11 = Off the ball (Keyboard: R)
Button 12 = Pause (Keyboard: ESC)
Button 13 = Quick Plays (Keyboard: 1)
Button 14 = Quick Plays (Keyboard: 2)
Button 15 = Quick Plays (Keyboard: 3)
Button 16 = Quick Plays (Keyboard: 4)

Keyboard: X, C, up, down etc are adjustable, just chose whatever you want (these are my configurations to give you an idea of how it works,so backdown would be key "Y" on my keyboard settings)

i belive i got this part right.

Back down

Tue May 30, 2006 7:16 am

I have found out a way to back down i use the configs in live 04 you can find it in your live 04 folder it's called interface just copy and past it from live 04 to live 06 and once you do that pick your control as usb 2 then if you what to adjust your control you can still do that as long as you don't mass with the right along stick just back up your interface folder just in case it don't work for you all i know it works for me if you what me to send the file to you i will do that

To all of the users of NBA Live. This year the 'back down' button is no more. You now simply push the right analog stick down. That does not mean you push the stick in like a button (this activates off-ball control.) It means that you hold in it's down direction.

If you use the keyboard, I strongly suggest you spend $20 and get yourself a cheap controller. After a couple games you will get over any sentimental attachment and preference you once had for the keyboard.

Thank you, and don't make another thread about this.

OMG you think we dont know this!!! were not as dumb as you! AH!!!!

Fri Aug 11, 2006 7:58 pm

dude, if you were here when he posted the thread, you would have seen the thousands of "how do i backdown?" threads spamming the forum. of course colin knew it, he made the thread to inform, not ask.

there is absolutely no requirement whatsoever for you to pretend to be of superior intellect to other members of this forum. and i just thought i'd point out that you said "we" in the above post, seemingly speaking for the whole forum. now i may be mistaken here, but i dont think you can read minds and tell what everyone else is thinking. in fact, the mere fact that you claim everyone except colin knows about the backdown button just proves that you cant.

it might also be wise to pay more attention to post dates. the post you quoted is almost a year old, and the last reply is a few months old. frankly, nobody gives a shit.

not that i really expect you to read this, since i heavily suspect jae banned you. unless he still has a problem with the admin panel, in which case you have until the 14th until you are banned. enjoy your time.

Question... When you push down on the right analog on defense: WHAT EXACTLY DOES IT DO????

I use this all the time to kinda get low on defense and try to stop my man from gettin past me but, i really dont know what exactly its doing!!

If someone could post a detailed description of what exactly pushing down on the right analog does on defense itwould be apreciated

Mon Sep 11, 2006 5:37 am

you face up to the ball handler, by holding it down you keep your back to the basket which makes it easier to stay in front of your man....but it gets awkward when you try to block or steal.

Re: PUSH DOWN ON THE RIGHT ANALOG TO BACK DOWN!!!

I have one problem with the backdown play, i like to use it when playing NBA O6, and it works with Shaq, Al Jefferson, Nene,Emeka Okafor, but it doesn't work with Milicic or Bogut, not even Dwight Howard and i don't know why? I have tried to put theirs scorearea to 9 but it doesn't change the situation. I also changed their second position also, because i thought that thats the problem, but nothing changed...
What can it be, i really don't have a clue?

I'm a little rusty on what you want to do.
On offense, it could be that Milicic or Bogut are too light against their match-up (Shaq is heavy and has high strength ratings to push his way into the paint).

On defense, I have no idea how well the backdown works on defense to be honest. From my experiences VS the CPU, it's an open invitation for them to draw the foul on me, or to jump shot over me. Anyone have better luck using the backdown button on defense?
