Changes in NBA..

Postby eastley on Sun Feb 05, 2006 2:29 pm

Hey all,

Been 3 years since I played a NBA game, and I noticed alot of players have retired and teams changed.

What ever happened with the Charlotte team? I know there still there but there now the Bobcats?

New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets? What happened there?

Are there any other major changes?

The Hornets moved to New Orleans a few years ago. The Charlotte Bobcats joined the NBA as an expansion team last year. Hurricane Katrina decimated the city of New Orleans, forcing the Hornets to play most of their games in Oklahoma City this season (and supposedly most of next year as well).

Thanks man..

It turned out I never saved my Dynasty properly so I started a new one with the Bobcats, I am 1-1 so far with a 3 point loss and win. And i just wondered what happened, then I noticed the New Orleans Hornets and wondered what happened there to.

Welcom back to the family, eastley. Oh, and while you're here, you might as well jump onto the Chris Paul bandwagon. He's really tearing it up down in Oklahoma City. Oh, and Nash has really stepped it up as of late.

I don't even know who I really go for in the NBA anymore, when I was real young it was the Hornets because I loved there logo, then I learnt who Jordan was so it was the Bulls, then he left and I then decided to go for Shaqs team back then which was the Lakers. But I always have liked the spurs aswell.

So if anyone wishes to help me deicde who to barrack for, feel free.

That's a no brainer. It's gotta be the Baby Bulls. Give them a season or two experince and they'll compete for it all.

Michael Jordan's nephew, Ben Jordan, leads the way. Check them out.

I'm sure Fluffy knows it's Ben Gordon. Ben "Jordan" is a moniker that came about when Gordon was coming up big in the fourth quarter in all those games last year.

I was pretty active over the weekend, I had 118 on Saturday though it's probably been around 20 per day lately. The official average is around 14 but taking into account I had my account created before the forum was open to the public it's probably a couple higher than that.

Great Forum by the way, but I wish it was a little more active, not enough posters and stuff IMO.

I'm not sure what you mean there. We've got over 12000 registered users, there's about 2000+ posts per day. There are more active forums since our community is still small compared to others but it's hardly dead. The NBA Live 06 section isn't as active as it was when it first came out but there's plenty of activity across the whole board.

I never said it was dead, and I guess I am just use to those bigger forums, and what section is most of the 2000 posts in at the moment?

Probably more in the Announcements section here in NBA Live 06, as well as NBA Talk and General Talk over in the General sections.

God damn you are a spammer.

Spammers don't make any positive contributions. I prefer to think I'm actually contributing worthwhile posts.

Let's not go nuts. I'm good, but not the best. Not as long as Drew Carey, Conan O'Brien and Kevin Smith are around. :P
