LOL at Darko on 09 cover! Why wait so long? Since Andrew said that Kobe's contract isn't up yet, then Darko should be the 07 cover, since EA LOVES to put the Draft Class of 2003 on the cover. Shouldn't Darko be on the cover before Melo and Wade? :P

Seeing that Lebron was in the top-100 influencial people in the world thingy by Time magasin, I think it would be a better choice for EA because the cover should be used to attract new customers, not already die hard fans.

Shut up about Kobe, he's contracted with Left Field Productions (they made 2 b-ball games for N64 and one of GCN which I own, the game is not bad but the player models are crazy, all of them tight waists and arms like schwarznegger)

Anyways, shut up! LeBron's a good cover boy.

OOOHHH!! So now the whole world is on the Kobe band wagon, what next everyones going to buy Isaiah thomas throwbacks!? Its mighty funny that when kobe was down  No one was saying put him on the cover but now he's everyones favorite player. Go figure :? at least lebron does still have a clean image.

I think people have a pretty good right to join the Kobe bandwagon. If Lebron put down 81 in a game, I'm sure he'd have a lot of new fans as well. Kobe earned the attention he's getting now, Lebron had it right from the beginning with all the hype and what not.

On the side, though, I don't think "the whole world is on the Kobe bandwagon" just all of the sudden. Everyone knew he was great, it's just that recently he has stepped up his game even more, if that's what you want to call it... :?

I have also been noticing that alot of people have been jumping on the Kobe train and I am not even mad. I hope everybody jumps on and really come to appreciate what a good player he is as he's not gonna be around forever. All the guy does is go out there and play some serious ball night in and night out, not many guys give their all in every situation.

Lebron does definitely deserve it in my opinion, but after Kobe for sure.

Maybe his contract is not yet over from previous games, and thats probably why EA chose Melo, D-Wade, and POSSIBLY Lebron, but if the contract is over, they ABSOLUTELY should put KB8 on the cover.

- Kobe played mroe than Lebron. Lebron has only played 2full season and is crrently in his 3rd. dumb kobe loving mother f***er!!!

- Big deal, Kobe is first in scoring, what bout assists? Was Carter best in the league when he was on 2004 cover? Was Melo the best player in 2005? Is Wade the best this season no.

- Again... SO what? It takes time and Kobe had SHAQ, lebron DID NOT!!!

- 81 points, so? Lebron is capable, but he doesn't want to hog and take a lot of shots. Kobe mgiht of scored 81, but thats like saying Wilt should be on teh cover because he scored 100. You want wilt on teh cover? No... so shut the f*** up you Kobe lover, and I bet you that you never liked Kobe before he scored 81, and to me you nothign but a bandwagon person.

ANDDDDDDDDDD....................

Yeah I want to see either Lebron or Bosh on the cover of 07. Probably end up being Lebron, but 2008: BOSH, unless he is on 07.

@BHD - OLD? Are you kidding me? He is 27, and is in his prime right now. OLD? He's got like 10 years left in the league... LOL!

God damn you! Fuck your Kobe after the 81 points every Lakers fan loves him!
Lebron Deserves it, he should of got it instead of Carmelo or Wade the past two years.

Wade did deserve it this year, becasuse he is pretty good, you must admit. Melo was good and should've won ROY award instead of Lebron because he lead his team into the playoffs.

I don't think it's the fact that Lebron is 'capable', but that he hasn't done it. I'm not trying to pick a fight or anything, but I don't think that your comparison is very relevant. Kobe is on a team that gives him the ball almost every possession up the court. You even hear the announcers saying that night in and night out. Lebron on the other hand has a team that works well together. He has Hughes, Ilgauskas, and Marshall to score as well, to name a few. I do honestly think that Kobe takes way to many shots, and should use his touches more to find open teammates, because everytime he drives, he gets double teamed. He just has to figure it out, that's all.

I agree, I feel Melo should have at least got a share of ROY if not take it himself.

Although unlikely, I wouldnt mind seeing Bosh on the cover either.

Being a superstar doesn't mean taking a lot of shots, it means beign a leader and getting players involved, gettign them easy shots to build confidence, it means creating for other players, and passign when there is a player with a higher % of making the shot. The night Kobe scored 81, he onyl had 2 assists, that should tell you he is a hog. I am not hating on Bryant, Im jsut saying that people say he's so great when he is nothing but a one-man team. The LAKERS are KOBE BRYANT. Period.

For example, look at the SUNS. B Diaw was nothing, a no name, no one knew him, but when he came to PHX, Nash passed him the ball, created an open shot for him and gave him open looks, and what happened? His field goal % went up, and people around the league actually know him now. Fans of the NBA (no specific team, but just the NBA) actually know who this guy is now. Steve Nash's scoring avg isnt bad, its what people call average, and yet he still gets his WHOLE team involved, giving them easy points. YOu might say, "Oh Hipn you just saying that cus you Canadian, eh?", but I'm not, because this is the truth. People say, "KOBE 4 MVP!!!1111oneoneone!1!!!1111". I ask, "Why." They simply answer, "HE SCORED 81 points, HE'S TEH B3ST!!!11!". But its not all about points. I admit points do play an improtant roll, but it's OVERALL stats that count, and its the TEAM record that counts.

Kobe is good, but I would rather have an all around player like Lebron, Melo, or Wade, maybe, just mabey even Bosh.

Look at Wade, he is very unselfish. Look at Garnett, he is unselfish. But both of them are still big name players and the both are All-Stars and Superstars.

Touché, I suppose. I guess we have different views.

Now, back to the subject. I'd like to see Gilbert Arenas or someone like Timmy D on an NBA Live cover. Not just young guys.

People..dont be stupid..its about who's gonna draw people to the game just by the cover. Will ray allen do that?..no..dirk?..no...who better than the 3 hottest players in the nba...kobe..iverson..lebron. Kobe and allen are next to impossible to get on the cover..so that leaves bron..best choice.
