Rate my modified Lakers

Postby Evolution on Wed Feb 01, 2006 12:34 pm

Damn, i can't believe i didn't find this site back when i had Live 2003.

Anyway, well i just started the third year of the dynasty, started with the lakers and only just before the off-season for the third year i changed the salary cap to 150mil, before that i did also have a formidable team with acouple of traded players.

But here's the team as it stands now with player ratings:

C. Shaquille O'Neal - 87
PF. Ray Allen - 87 (thinking of moving him around)
SF. Lebron James - 98
SG. Kobe Bryant - 94
PG. Steve Nash - 84

Bench:
6. Gary Payton - 69
7. Sasha Vujacic - 65
8. Brian Cook - 66
9. Luke Walton - 67
10. Ronny turiaf - 62
11. Andrew Bynum - 64
12. Chris Cowell - 69
IR1. Jeff Starks - 65
IR2. Laron Profit - 61

Before the modified slaary cap i had o'neal, bryant, payton, allen and jumaine jones as my starting lineup.

What do you guys think?

It's quite a well put together team but the only problem i have is that they score so evenly that none of them shine as a superstar of the match, which is why i focus on a different player every match to make him stand out but he won't be consistent. Oh well, it's the consequence of having such a powerful team.

yeah i had no where else to put him, Kobe can't seem to mange many 3pt shots when defenders are next to him so i need allen and although he doesn't defend well James, Kobe and Shaq seem to do a well enough job to kep the opposition out of the key. I need him to score 3's when i'm changing up the plays during the game, plus he gets fouled alot and his free throws are really good so he's valuable, but yeah i know it's a wrong position.

Run Lebron at PF instead of allen. Or get a real PF.

I tried to get howard but they don't wanna trade him, i wanted Wade but settled for for Nash since the Heat look liek they'll never trade Wade.

Bosh would be cool but i can't provide a good offer to trade him to me.

LeBron at PF? Hmm... i guess Allen wouldn't be so bad at SF and LeBron has the skills to play any position i guess. I'll try it out.

Allen is my 3pt man, Kobe can't seem to get most of his 3's to drop, but Allen gets fadeaway 3's to go down, so he's good to have.

Will work on this.

Thanks dudes.

May I ask you what moves you made in the 1st season?

I'm also playing with the Lakers and I'm experiencing some problems, especially in the Center position.

I don't like your team. I mean, it wouldn't be fun for me to play with a team like that. If you traded for the players you have now, you did a good job managerwise, though.

Um...i think the only move i made in the first season was odom and george for Allen, he's awsome in getting the outside shots and balances out bryants 'getting to the rim' ability and he's quick and skillful so he's very useful epsecially in the fast break. Also since kobe draws alot of attention and constantly gets doubled allen becomes free and the 3s go down no problem.

In the second season, kwame brown and grant for shaq, signed payton as free agent, signed F. jones.

In the off-season before the 3rd season i got LeBron as a free agent (pay him as much as possible to get him), traded jumaine jones and f. jones for Nash.

I've been trying to make a deal for KG; Allen and payton for him or something but they don't wanna let him go, bastards, he'll complete my team because all i need is a top PF. Anyone got any opinions on how i could get KG? i'm willing to rade allen and any bench, they have 1 extra roster space.

I love the team i have, i do sub them throughout the game to give my bench a chance to get better and to try and get payton to have the sixth man trophy.
