ray allen couldnt be on the cover cuz he was on the nba game for the psp, and when we talked about the cover for nba live 06, some1 said kobe cant be cause he was on some really old nba game and that he still had a contract with that, i dont no if thats true or not though

Yes, Kobe is in many ways a better player, but so what? No one can really bash EA for a decision based on what they feel is best for the game and the company, just because you just happen to like another player more. You see it from one viewpoint (the fan), and EA view it from another viewpoint (the company).


volsey: Yea, Ray Allen has been on several of the 'NBA' games from 989 Sports (So has T-Mac).
And the same goes for Kobe, he was the cover boy on Nintendo's 'Kobe Bryant in NBA Courtside' from 2002.
The question is whether their contracts still is in affect with those companies or not...

I don't know how Lebron feels about this though. I mean Wade and Melo has been on the cover before him. It "seems" like Lebron was the third choice. He might wanna question why he wasn't on any of the 2 previous covers. Just a thought. He certainly deserves it.

The corver is nice to talk about but its only a cover to me they could put ron artest throwing a tv on the cover and as long as the game is good thats wat will count for me. I have been lucky enough to see my favorite players on the cover such as KG, tim hardaway, and wade which is cool but not that big a deal.

Wat i want to know is whether they will be changing the name since they said something about him being the face such as john madden and tiger woods. will this mean he will stay on the cover forever? will this mean it will now be called "Lebron Jame's NBA Live"?

Yes, Lebron does deserve it.... BUT AFTER Kobe!
-Kobe has 3 rings - Lebron has ZIP!
-Kobe is the scoring leader - Lebron is THIRD
-Kobe has been to the PLAYOFFS - Lebron has NOT
-Kobe scored 81 points - Lebron DID NOT!

Lebron does definitely deserve it in my opinion, but after Kobe for sure.

Maybe his contract is not yet over from previous games, and thats probably why EA chose Melo, D-Wade, and POSSIBLY Lebron, but if the contract is over, they ABSOLUTELY should put KB8 on the cover.

@BHD - OLD? Are you kidding me? He is 27, and is in his prime right now. OLD? He's got like 10 years left in the league... LOL!
