I'd love to vent right now about my (newer) computer.

The power won't turn on.

I have a project that's due on Friday, and the worst that can happen is that my motherboard, CPU and power supply are all fried and I would have to pay at least $500 to get them all replaced, not to mention the time and labor that would be wasted. The most likely thing that happened was that just my power supply died out. In that case, it'd probably only cost $40 and I would have it replaced tonight and everything will be fine again.

Update on my computer... got a new case, my friend moves all the hardware onto the new case. It boots, everything's back to normal.

And I got new 5.1 surround sound speakers, and they rock :mrgreen:

I'm so fucking behind in schoolwork.

The Logitech X530. They're discontinued so I snatched them for $60 Cdn, when they were $120 Cdn before being discontinued. They're not the greatest but good enough for computer speakers. Funny enough, all my friends have them.

I've been pining for the Z-5500 for months now, everytime I save a bit of money, I go blow it on something I can do without.

Speaking of the Z-5500, it's either this month or the next, my schoolbooks can be fucked.

What do you folks think of universal remotes? This one in particuliar.

It's totally abstract in meaning, but you can interpret it any way you want to. It's just a totally random thing I'm trying out for kicks, but I like the odd creative aspect I'm playing around with.

Those look very sweet. That would look really good with your current system. As for the universal remote, I don't think I have any use for it, all the controls are all in front of me and I mostly use it for msuic, but it might be neat if you're using a TV or for movies.

Well, I'll be damned, that makes four people that I know, not including myself, with the same speakers. They all got it on special except for one who had to pay double the amount and told me he got it on sale :lol:

I know some guy who has like 4 iPods, a Mini Cooper S, huge Projection TV, 2 computers and an Mac Laptop, an Xbox, a pinball machine and dvd player and a universal remote.

In his living room, but I call it the chill out room because it's got air conditioning so none of the electronics blow up, he has the projector, and he has the PC, Xbox, DVD player, surround sound speakers and TV all hooked up to the projector and he uses the universal remote to flick through each thing and start using, plus he has a wireless mouse and keyboard so he can just sit on his executive chair and just pwn people.

He works with my dad and we aint that rich, but he inherited money from his parents who were rich.

Those speakers look nice...I remember my sister used to have 5 speakers or something but there was only one headphone/sound plug so you could only hear sound from 2 speakers. How many sound jacks do you have?

Well my sound card has like 5 or 6 jacks, and for the five speakers and subwoofer, it only took up 3 jacks.

Yeah, I had that problem in the beginning too, my speakers would only play out of 2 speakers instead of the whole thing. Then I bought a creative sound blaster & now wire connects from the Surround Sound to the Sound Blaster then from there it connects to the laptop with a really thin cable.

I've got options of listening to it on Optical In, Digital In, Line In etc...well mine works on Optical In. Guess that's an optical wire then?

I'm so a-technical.

lol i know that feeling. When my roommate who lives in the room next door is here there will often be loud bass and sounds from science fiction movies :shock:

. Sometimes , when I'm trying to sleep at 11 pm because of 8 am classes I will try to sleep and then out of nowhere I hear a BOOM from some role playing game or from the tv. I just try to ignore it or put earphones on if it really gets bad.
