NBA Live 07 Wishlist

1. When a player shoots and gets fouled, then the ball goes around the rim and motions to drop in. When you press a button to skip it to go to shoot the free throw, the basket does not get to count. Sometimes, when you don't skip it and the movie just timed out to go to the free throw, the basket also won't count. I have seen this in NBA LIVE 2005.

2. In-game saving would be cool. I would love to go back in games that I enjoyed playing. Making last shots to win games are not that common. And you can use this to practice for late games.

3.Making an expansion team where you can get players from teams like Charlotte Bobcats. Then you can create another team if you have enough Dynasty Points. Or Computer creates a team while you are in simulation and it gets players from you.

4. Create a team and add it in the Dynasty mode.

You guys sure do ask for alot. Keep in mind that Next Gen will have top priorities again, so we're gonna probably end up with NBA Live 06+a roster update and a few fixed glitches, maybe a couple new animations.

I seriously doubt we're gonna get create-a-team, all of these farfetched ideas, gamesaves, etc. We're probably better off requesting a couple minor things like saving stats online, what you (Pinoynbaliveaddict) requested for number 1, subs after the first FT, etc. Small details and stuff.

I'd like to see maybe some facial expressions return, but I doubt that will happen. As far as new animation's I'd like to see:

• Players just shooting a jumpshot(even if it doesn't count) after fouls
• Definately more celebrations(head bang, high fives, the head nod, jumping in circles maybe after hitting a big shot, etc)
• 360 layup that we saw in the Live 04 trailor would be nice
• Maybe FSS dribbling moves
• Actually "breaking ankles" on crossovers(not literally breaking, but have the defender going in one direction and you going in the other, or the defender sliding/falling)
• More cutscenes

*Interviews with players?? that would be awesome i reckon like after a match they interview the player of the game. I doubt it will happen in this one tho.

*Create a team, its not that hard, i dunno why they stopped doing it.

*Create your own moves like dunks, crossovers etc.

Along with the gameplay and realism updates, I'm adding a couple that I haven't come across in this request thread yet.

-INTERFACE should be more computer-like, and not so console-like if you get my drift. It's annoying to have to scroll down to sub guys in, view rosters or to view stats. NBA Live 98 on PC is a great example. The console style interface is one thing that has been majorly turning me off this game.

-PLAYER SEASON AND CAREER HIGHS would be an awesome addition to the Dynasty mode.

-STATS should be more comprehensive. Again pointing to Live 98, the stats database was massive. You could sort and look through not only the top 50 or whatever but right down to the very last guy in the league, as well as being able to view more stat categories.

-CREATED PLAYER NAMES should be recognised by the game and spoken by commentators and arena announcers (if the names already exist for other players). If the guy's first name is unique but his last name is shared with a player already in the game, then the commentators should at least be able to say it. I don't think this would be that hard to do, it just seems like lazy programming from EA.

-CYBERFACE patching should be easier for created players. At the moment it's near impossible for those who don't know how to DBF edit, and a pain in the arse for those of us that do.

-INDIVIDUAL PRACTICE MODE + 1 ON 1 in the Dynasty would be very handy for trying to decide on roster changes or trades etc.

-NATIONAL TEAMS would be great but licensing issues may well hold this back.

i think that there should be more realistic shots by certain players styles. i think that the dunk competition needs a bigger range of new dunks. i think there should be a widder range of dunks in the game. I think the fans should attribute to the game say when your on a streak there cheering can help your team to keep scoring and make the other team struggle. a create a superstar mode would be nice. having player introductions in the beggining when they come out of the locker room. i think there should be a better half time where the announcers talk about the first half and it shows first half highlights if possible. maybe a coach interview at the end of the first half. I think that it would be cool to add face mapping in the game like tony hawk. I think you should be able to create your own stadium and design how u want it to be. There should be a create a team mode. someone mentioned trash talking a little between players. That would be cool to see. Seeing the players make motions to the refs to try and get some calls. player celeration after a big shot is made. i think that the jerseys and shorts should move a little when the players are moving. updated rosters including the upcoming after this basketball season should be included.

the fantasy drafting order should be:
1st round
1, 2, 3, ... , 30
2nd round
30, 29, 28, ... , 1
etc... so the teams will be balanced

the dunking animation should be fixed.. eg. right-handed players should mostly dunk using their right hands..

13. No more stupid rookies generated.
14. Allstar voting in Dynasty mode.
15. Superstar mode (nhl, nfl...)

- buzzer beating
- jumpover dunk (Vinsanity over french on 2000 olympics...)
- freestyle player (player with this ability use more often his FSS abilities)
- leader (player with this ability gave his teammates +10 to off and def awareness and stamina)
-free throw dunk (for special dunk from SDC)

20. Better CAP mode (even this one from 05 was better of that shit in 06), put primacy ratings in CAP mode
21. Diffrent free throws styles, dunk, layups and celebrities packages to choose in CAP mode. (style of dunks: athtleticise, powerful or freestyle - useful to players without FSS abilities - like konami football series)
22. Official rosters patches on ea site (andrew have his life and problems too)

Who the hell cares about the slam dunk contest. I haven't played it once since I got the game, which was months ago.

Like people have said, improve the things that actually affect the gameplay.

This is a long thread and I didn't read the whole thing so excuse me if there are things that were already posted

Things that should be in NBALIVE07
1. Players should have their own characteristics. There is different ways of playing game for various players, Lebron's pass-first for example. Everytime I play Cleveland with my 76ers, Lebron puts up 30 points with 1~2 assists. Antoine Walker with stupid shots, Shaq always going for post-up, Dwayne always trying to drive in, Allen Iverson and Kobe demanding ball, etc etc
2. Fix that rebounds.. I hate CPU getting rediculous numbers of offensive rebounds.. even my Allen Iverson averages 3 ORPG. This needs to be fixed both CPU and user side.
3. Bring back in-game saves
4. Players bumping into each other needs to be fixed. There are no players in the NBA who bumps into other players 3 or more times while doing full-court press. Why are players getting thrown off and step back everytime they bump?
5. Integration of suspensions.. fights? I know we don't want any of our stars to get into fight and get suspended. It will be hard to integrate but it will be a great addition
6. Create-a-team
7. Better create-a-player mode.. why is every rookies that are generated look same as my created player??
8. Influence of head coaches. Phil Jackson will bring up the chemistry of the team, use triangle offense, etc.
9. Make player mode like the one in madden. Make camps, relationships with other teammates, etc
10. More cutscenes. I liked the cutscenes in 04. It can be better
11. Stop making the defenders stay in front of an offensive player when he's trying to post-up.. AI for user side defense is just rediculous
12. No more turn-overs while going for steals and balls go out of bounce. Same with attempted interceptions.
13. Better stealing motions. Ball doesn't have to be smacked all the way to the other side of the court to be stolen. You get the point..
14. Stop making the ball go to the offensive team when it is blocked. There is no point of blocking the ball if it makes the other team to score easier..
15. No more skating!!!
16. Use whole different physics engine, graphical engine, AI engine, just make the whole new game from scratch!!
17. Use next gen graphics for PC games. PC can handle it!

Thats all I've got for now.. 06 was one of the most disappointing Live ever.. I doubt that EA will ever listen to us but whatever.. I dont have any gaming consoles since I'm too busy with college work but I play computer games often. There is no NBA2k6 for PC so NBALIVE is my best luck. I hope EA makes 07 one of the best, if not, the best Live ever made!!!

what is the strength rating for? is it only for the backdowns? or does it affect the ability to finish a play when a player is fouled?? i think that should be a factor especially for superstar highfliers and power players.. well, that should be in the wishlist.. because point guards who are high fliers certainly cannot dunk over players as much as power or small forwards who are generally much bigger and stronger..
