microsoft excell in editing dbf

Is it ok to use excell in editing dbf files for the patch,,im the 2003 version of office.

yeah its ok

but still dbf seems more effective

More of a general patching question, so I'm moving this to Patching Issues.

I don't recommend using any of the MS applications as it's very easy to save them incorrectly and corrupt the dbf files.
