When the defence is in the key for more than three seconds. It's a flagrent if it happens, though.

It's called Illegal Defense, basically it happens if your team's playing man-to-man, if you hang out in the key you're technically playing a zone defense independant of your teammates, and the NBA won't let you do that.

no. no tech either for hanging on the rim, talking trash, and so on, only for defensive key violations and so on..
