scoring way too high!!!!!!!!!

Postby jjshankshaft on Sat May 24, 2003 1:46 pm

is this game too easy for anyone else? After 4 quarters of play, my score is like 170 to 190. Why doesnt the computer play better defense? Also, why does the comp score so high and me too?

I'm assuming you just got the game. :) Yes, these have been common complaints since the game was released. Tweaked rosters have gone a little way to make gameplay more realistic, but they are unsuitable for Franchise Mode. Basically, there's not much you can really do except wait for NBA Live 2004 or go back to an older NBA Live, if you don't enjoy Live 2003's gameplay.

yeh, i think u either have it set on defolt, which is rookie, or u just build a team of superstars....i played the game for a while and what i notice is that the game play is abit unrealistic but the end result is quet realistic, exept for the FG%, the cpu just get on a roll and get close

Yeah, it's pretty easy to score on Rookie. The scores are higher than real life at all difficulty levels, but on Rookie it's pretty easy to break the 200 point barrier, as the game basically becomes a shootout.

I recommend you to download my roster update and use my recommended settings, and I promise you that you will have a hardtime to break 110points (8*4q length).

i got the game when it came out. i play on superstar. its just too damn easy. i find myself waiting for the shot clock to wind down all the time just to try to keep my first quarter scoring around 40 points. whats the attitude for witht he responses. im still waiting on some sort of help with getting the numbers to appear in my game.

when i play franchise, i purposely put my team as getting the last pick so i dont have unreal players. i have crap players tearing it up in the game. i also decreased ratings of everyone in the game.

There is no attitude with the responses, it's just that you're a little late posting these comments, and there's been a lot of threads on this topic. Also, I answered your post regarding jersey numbers in the Patching Issues forum - please do not make multiple posts on the topic, as you have done.
