the OFFICIAL "RATE MY TEAM" Thread

Postby Abctest123 on Thu Dec 29, 2005 1:03 pm

i dunno if this would work but yeah, might help to organize all those "rate my team" threads. you could probably also add the trades you want rated or have that in a seperate "official thread."

and on the topic of "please rate my team" or help to make some moves, im using the raptors and this is my roster. details about each player beside the name of player. hes one catch to trades, i do not want any big longterm contracts, as i am looking forward to the end of year 2, i have a LOT of cap room after that season.

C-Araujo (he can basically back down almost everyone in the game, will only trade if it is decent trade, only because i want to train him as a longterm project  , but if you have a suggestion to trade him, please say it)

PF-Bosh (he is UNTRADABLE, I REPEAT I REFUSE TO TRADE HIM)

SF-Rose (i know he has a huge fucking contract, but i dont think im going to trade him because along with his contract plus 3 or 4 other players, i have A LOT of cap space at the end of year 2, which has TONS of great free agents, including the likes of wade, tmac, and many others, cant think of any others but many 70-90 rated people, better than the end of year 1)

SG-Peterson (hes doing alright, had a slow start to the season but picked up his game and is currently averaging about 13.5 ppg, poor rebounding at times though, hes tradable i guess, only thing that might hold me back is loyalty, since he has been a raptor his whole career so far)

PG-Mike James (tradable, but i expect a decent trade, as he, like peterson is doing well after a slow start, 12ppg but 5 assists per game, 3 rebounds per game, and also 1.8 steals per game)

6th man-Charlie Villanueva (MUST BE A TRADE THE BENEFITS ME, as he is doing well and can block quite well, 2.5 blocks per game  , and about 12ppg, 7 rebounds per game)

rest of my bench

Joey Graham (like villanueva, must be something that benefits me, as he is progressing extremely well in my dynasty)

Jose Calderon (tradable to an extent, im a bit iffy to trade this guy, he doesnt have a great shot, but can dish out the dimes and a somewhat decent slasher, can get into the lane and get the layups)

Matt Bonner (DEFFINATELY TRADABLE, i made him a 70 in fg and 70 3pt by editting before the start of the season, he is deffinately better than what they gave him by default, but still struggles with open fucking shots, cant create his own shot, is a dead weight)

Aaron Williams (also tradable, nuff said, tried changed his listing to a centre to see if there was more interest, didnt work)

Chucky Atkins (tradable, i know your gonna ask wtf was i doing, well, i was messing around looking to get rid of eric williams some how, i found that in the game atkins had an expiring contract at the end of year 1, compared to eric williams' contract ending in year 2 or 3, this move was just to have contracts end sooner, decent stats though, mid 70s in both fg and 3s, good stamina (78), his overall doesnt say much but he is fairly decent)

Loren Woods (deffinately tradable, is useless, but it isnt absolutely neccesary to trade him as his contract is done by the end of the first year)

Pape Sow (rebounds well for the limited numbers i play him, will only trade if benefits me quite a lot, spent quite a bit training him)

Alvin Williams (he doesnt do much, already got injured twice during the season, about a week each for each injury, nothing too serious, but the only thing holding me back from trading him, is once again, like morris peterson, his loyalty to the team, is the longest serving raptor, well not anymore after not playing for over a season in real life, that title goes to mo-pete now)

i know, my question was more of a "what should i do with it" one.

but i made the thread so that all the "rate my team" and "what i should do" threads can be found in one instead of a whole bunch.

Dwight Howard
Chris Wilcox
Shawn Marion
Dwayne Wade
Luke Ridnour

Damon Jones
Chucky Atkins
Jose Calderon
James Jones
Raja Bell
JR Smith

I think that's it. Pretty good team, i wanna trade Wade for Kirilenko or something like that. I want Steve Nash :P

That suns fantasy team is crazy. Marion and wade on one team...wow. Marion and wade should have been top 10 picks...

Golden State Warriors dynasty

Dwight Howard
Chris Bosh
Peja Stojakovic
Jason Richardson
Baron Davis

key bench
derek fisher
mike dunleavy
nick nav axel
troy murphy

What do you think? I'm thinking about trading for Kyle Korver and Andre Iguoadola.

I played a shitty Milwaukee team last season, finished 39-43, but at the end of the season had 30million cap space (during th reg season i gathered all the highest expiring contracts)

Now my team is..

C Findlay (65) 10ppg 10rpg 5bpg
F Messina (75) 15ppg 11rpg
F Nowitzki (86) 25ppg 7rpg
G R Davis (72) 12ppg 3rpg 3apg
G Billups (84) 16ppg 7apg

Bench: D Stoudamire, D Milicic, H Warrick, C Delfino and an assortment of rookies.

I need a big guy, but i have no cap space and no players good enough to generate cap space.

I play with the L.A. Lakers and i´m in my 2 Year of the Dynasty, in the first year i won the title after i put a 19-10 Season and qualify as #4.
In the first round i beat the Rockets 4-1, second round the Spurs 4-0, next round the Suns 4-3, and in the Finals the Heat 4-1.

In the Off Season i made a lot of trades cause i wanted to get ride of Odom, i just cant play with him, i dont know why, he shoot under 40% and didnt done the others things better, but he avg. 19,5 Pts a Game, but i had to get rid of him.

Now my Team looks like this:

C: J. Magloire 72 (got him from the Bucks in a trade)
PF: B. Cook 65
SF: A. Igoudala 86 (the "unbelivable" tough Odom trade)
SG: K. Bryant 96
PG: S. Parker 65
---Bench---
C: C. Mihm 64
PF: M. Jackson 65 (from the Nets)
SF: J. Mashburn 70 (from the Odom trade)
SG: M. Redd 77 (from the Bucks trade)
PG: A. Fergus 64 (Rookie, will be the next something)
SG: V. Wafer 61
PG: W. Kwong 61 (Rookie)
SF: L. Profit 65

Dont say "how cant u start M. Redd", i dont want to start him, cause i got Kobe at the SG position, and my Defense Specialist and Dunker in Iggy at the SF, i love to have 3PT guys on the bench, who can come in the game and hit the three.

And how u like my team?

yeah...year 4 with lakers in dynasty:
C: Kurt Thomas/Andrew Bynum
PF: Dirk Nowitkzki/Yves Wolf (rookie from 2 yrs ago)
SF: Peja Stojakivic/Scott Padgett
SG: Ben Gordon/Akono Adeuton (rookie)
PG: Sauranas jasikevicius/ben iwanaka (rookie)

anyways how this became was in year 1
i dont know the whole entire trade but i will say the main
lamar for peja and corliss williamson
kobe for dirk (i know but i dont like kobes contract after year 1, its a beast and dirk was becoming an FA so i could resign him to a smaller contract so i could sign someone else, i signed ben gordon)

then i was offered new orleans GM so i accepted
then i created
C:Chris Wilcox/Zaza Pachulia
PF:Stromile Swift/Chigo Nakamura (sophmore)
SF:Shane Battier/Ansel Mcgrady (rook)
SG:Martell Webster/Iniko Yeung (rook)
PG: ben iwanaka (this kid got real good went from 69 to 83 in 4 yrs, i traded for him with jr smith)/rodney buford (best passing on the bench i couldnt get a decent PG)

yeah so there you go.

yeah thats how fantasy drafts are you can get a great team ^^
year 1 LAL-
C:E.okafor(80 ovrl)/M.Ely(65 ovrl)
PF:M.Haislip (68 ovrl)/B. Cook (64 ovrl)
SF:D.George(70 ovrl)/L.Walton(66 ovrl)
SG:K.Bryant (95 ovrl)/F.Hoidberg (66 ovrl)
PG:S.Parker (68 ovrl)/S.Stoudamire (68 ovrl)
Bench
SG V. Wafer (62 ovrl) PG S. Vujajic (62 ovrl)
IR C A. Bynum (60 ovrl) SF L Profit (59 ovrl) PF S Medvendenko (58 ovrl)

Teams like 82 ovrl and we get a lot of cap at the end of the year to sign a superstar or a couple of good but not great players

that isnt bad to the fact that we were under 7 mil under cap... unfortunately 8 of my players are free agents next year...

My Bulls dynasty year 2
after winning the championship

C TysonChandler
PF Charlie Villanueva ( aquired through trade during the first year)
SF Loul Deng
SG Michael Jordan (i put him in the line up before starting my dynasty, won ROY,MVP, Finals MVP and Defensive player last year.. yeah, i made him a rookie before starting my dynasty and made him 19 years old so he would not retire early.)
PG Kirk Hinrich

6 Tim Thomas
7 Ben Gordon
8 Mike Sweentney
9 Andres Nocioni
10 Cris Duhon
11 Janero Pargo
12 Orthella Harrington
13 Otto Hendrix ( drafted rookie, first round 30th pick, PG 65 in rating)

I did not re-sign Piatkowski after the first season.

Please rate my team.

Thanks.

1st season(after trades)

Ben Wallace
Amare Stoudemire
Shawn Marion
JR Smith
TJ Ford

Yuta Tabuse
James Jones
Chris Wilcox
Zaza Pachulia
Anfernee Hardaway
Toni Kukoc

I have an 11 man roster, due to cap space  but next season should be better. I believe the cap space for your team goes up each year, right? The cap limit? So that, plus some expiring contracts, I should be good. Gotta sign Amare, Wallace, and Wilcox though.

Anyway, it's in like January, I'm like 20th in the Power Rankings, yet there are multiple teams with worse records than me higher. WTF

I recently changed teams after about 5 seasons, but before the change i had Houston:

C Yao 93/ Wilcox 77
PF Keith Faulk 75 (4yrs Pro drafted 27th)/ Adofo Rose 68 (soph drafted 25th)
SF T-Mac 92/Ty Kesper 69
SG Alonzo Wagner 73 (3yrsPro Drafted 3rd overall)/Jett Hayne 68(soph drafted 35th)
PG J-Terry 78 /Rafer Alston 68

This team won a championship and made a few finals appearances

Then i cnstructed a succesful Miami team which was on the decline before i picked them up (Shaq just retired)

C Chris Wilcox 78/ Chris Anderson 62
PF Felix Chow 82 (R drafted 1st overall)/ Udonis Haslem 75
SF Seal Everitt 77(4yrspro drafted 25th)/ Antoine Walker 75
SG D-Wade 94/ James Posey 68
PG Shaun Livingston 84/ Jett Hayne 71

alright, i didnt feel this post required a new thread, so i decided to ask my question here. I am looking to trade away eric williams (the first post in this thread was before i forgot to save, so i got back him.) his contract is about 4.5 million per year, with 2 more years left (he leaves after the end of next season).

heres my lineup

C- Araujo (wont trade unless it seems decent, hes improving steadily)
PF-Bosh (untradable, nuff said)
SF-Rose (i might as well keep him until the end of next year since hes doing alright and the year his contract is up, tmac, wade and many other superstars are free agents, better this seasons end, tradable though)
SG-Peterson (does well, main thing that holds me back from trading him is his loyalty to this team, been a raptor for his whole life)
PG-James (tradable, currently doing alright in my dynasty, 12ppg, nearly 7 apg)

Bench
Villanueva (95% untradable, hes improving, has a nice mid range, can rebound and block, but im afraid that ea might have not did him justice and might have him have little potential and might peak very quickly)

Graham (97% untradable, improves at a faster rate than villanueva but not as good as him yet, made him a highflyer)

Jason Kapono (3rd stringer guy i traded for with Loren Woods, use him for a little instand offence, has like an 85 in 3pt, but only 65 in fg, tradable)

Matt Bonner (just like kapono, except was already on roster, hes useless if he cant get the open and midrange jumper)

Eric Williams (like i said at the beginning of the post, i want to trade him, hes also a 3rd stringer, hes good for maybe 4 points and a rebound, but need to get rid of him)

Aaron William (I just waived him, but i mentioned him because i can pick him back up on my team anytime since no other team wants him, so you can also mention him in any trade possibilities)

Alvin Williams (alright 3rd string point guard, at times can give you that quick spark of offence, nothing else, once again, the only thing holding me back from trading him is his loyalty to this team, been a raptor for so long)

Looking forwad to your suggestions.

yes. he's rating is from what he is in NLSC ROster patch.

definitely it would be really fun.

and after i finish my second year.
i will also bring in Scottie Pippen as a rookie through dbf editing.
i've tried that before in 05.
