NBA Live 07 Wishlist

It's that time of the year again. It's time we compile a list of ideas that we send to the NBA Live production team to let them know what we'd like to see in the next game. I'll be sending the list off soon so get your ideas in as quickly as possible. Please note that we will not include suggestions about adding fights or unsportsmanlike technicals as EA Sports have made it clear that the NBA will not allow either to be a part of the game. I think EA should hold off on releasing Live 07 and use that time to develope better gameplay, more dynamic dynasty mode, and fix a lot of the annoying bugs that are very easy to fix.

i don't think that's gonnd happen, but let's hope EA don't spend too much time on LIVE for XBox 360.

I would also like to see the MLE as well as better support. EA hasn't realsed any patches for 06. Their initial roster was just terrible, and they haven't done anything to fix it. Not that i need their roster update, thanks to Andrew, but it'll be nice for them to fix it.

I can't believe they don't release an updated roster or patch...

They should also put more pop / rap / hip-hop tunes in the arena music (like in real life)...

And the cpu cheating still annoys me a lot... I can't score for 2 minutes or so... Then the cpu blocks every shot I make and rebounds every miss... Very unrealistic..
Also the fact that the user almost always misses a jumpshot when you have no PF or C beneath the basket to catch the rebound..

haven't noticed any of those in 2006. sounds more like 2005 to me.

add more hip-hop and rap music
add all the legends
make that players can get the ball than it goes out of bounds (you know like rodman )
make that player jerseys could move like in real life (like in NBA 2k6)
add Skill Chalenge to the All-Star Weekend
Make a new menu, not so crappy retired jerseys
make new 3D wrist bands not just a texture (like in NBA 2k6)
add new things to the Dynasty mode (like individual practice)
Add new real life dunks, alley-ops, blocks, lay-ups, long range shots
make an automatic rooster update system directly from EA (no need of creating roosters anymore)
make all CF's of new new rookies
make smth like NBA TV (example best week dunk, lay-up, block, shot or smth like that in dynasty mode)
make normal cameras
and make that players could change their face expressions (then he scores to make him look happy, then he misses or his tem looses to make him look sad)
to make that at time-out or at the end of the quarter players would go at their bench, not at the other team
and to make nick names like in nba 2002 or in 2000 (then you create ur own player it says Number 1, but with nicknames it would say smth like Lightning, Magic ir smth else )
and to add new practice arenas, 1on1 arenas and to make those spectators in 1on1 challenge to move ir smth else, not just to sit and do nothing

A hot/cold streak system, and how players fit to each other, so that a well composed team is better than a team with 5 superstars, but no one really satisified with the minutes or shots he gets.

Maybe it would be cool if a player makes a layup, they switch to the Behind-The-Board-camera and you see the players' face better...

Also I would like to see those player intro's (like in 2004) again..

Pierce, Jermaine etc. saying things like: EA Sports It's in the Game...

A couple of "OLD-SCHOOL" things that were not included since 2000:

-Hassle-free custom team creation.
-Save Games in the middle of the game (in any mode).

I suggest a new Superstar mode(the one like in NHL 06) it would be really great to do your own career.

I would like it if when you are simulating games in dynasty mode that when an injury occurs it stops the simulation and lets you adjust your lineup manually instead of auto reordering it like in mvp baseball. Also it would be sweet if you could hire and fire coaches and promote and hire real assistant coaches like madden.

Oh, I got another one, how about some realistic created players for the draft in dynasty mode. By that i mean names, faces, attributes, body size. I'm sick of all the 6 foot 2 230 lb. shooting guards that look like they are 35 yrs old!

I say look at Madden 06 and take anything and everything of that. That game is awesome. You can take one player through a season. They have dyanasties, seasons, create a team, player, anything. It is such a good game. Also I saw a post that wants in game saves, this game has it also.

CUT SCENES: God, When I win the play-offs, I want my players jumping around like crazy (like in Live 2001) plus I went Sterny to come and give my captain the trophy (you should be also able to assign the team a captain), I also want to go to the awards presentation and see players be awarded the MVP (kinda like 2004), and also cut scenes of players being signed, re-signed, traded and stuff. You could do it kinda like GTA style and walk around and phone players if you want to sign them (during the offseason, so it aint as boring) and you should be able to personally go down to training sessions and watch your players train.

cut scenes may seem unnecessary but for me, this excites me, it makes the game more enjoyable, especially winning the play-offs, that was only reason I played live 2001, to win the play-offs and watch my players celebrate.

My other idea:

USING A FSS ABILITY LOWERS YOUR FATIGUE DRAMATICALLY: This is one way that could limit FSS abuse, let's say, when going for a highflying move, it usually takes a lot of energy to jump up high and do a windmill, this should cut your fatigue level by a sixth so if you abuse it, you can only use it 6 times until your player gets extremely tired and not able to be as effective. I dont know if you guys get what I mean, but by making a player lose a bit more energy when doing a highflyer-dunk than going for a lay-up would do me fine.

Cutscenes are just so important and show some luv 4 da game.
There aint cutscenes so u see the love ea had for the game ....
It´s just graphics get better every year we´re in 2006 now and I think it should be possible to those complex things, well you example is greta look at GTA, u can do so much things thee, so why not in nba too ???

I wanna see the character of my player, they move like they do with ffs ea says, but I wanna see my Big Ben being aggressive and my T-Mac being kinda lazy and then explode with the next move, aint that possible ??

2 things:

Gameplay
It needs sorting out in a big way. You know, no way of getting easy baskets over and over. Slow it down, make it more realistic. Have an option to speed it up for people who like that, but the emphasis should be on slowing it down. And sort out the AI. It is terrible. The only way you can let the computer stay in games is by raising their shooting sliders so they knock down all kinds of shots. Thats because they arent intelligent enough to do anything good. The gameplay of 06 died for me weeks ago, and I don't intend to play the game again. Superstar mode in 06 was terrible, it needs either drastically changing, or at the least an option to turn it off.

Dynasty Mode
Smarten up the AI: I want them to offer trades. I want them to do something in FA. Get the MLE in the game. Don't just change the interface of FA, rip it up and start again. The generated players: PLEASE SORT THEM OUT. I don't know, just have them all as slight variations of a couple of templates if necessary, they just need to be realistic. SFs with some speed, SGs who can shoot and are taller and 6'2''. No more PGs with 92 speed and 47 acceleration. Plenty of athleticism, and kids from HS.




I had to get that all off my chest. I'm not buying a Live game again until they start listening. And hi to everyone! I have a lot of catching up to do reading the dynasties!

The most important thing is a realistic gameplay meaning realistic stats.
Lower O-Reb., Shoot-Att., and so on.
Away with the Bugs like Turnover-Count when Ball goes outside or dunking through the Glass.
Plus all of the good ideas already posted!

All I know is that this game is better then all the game in game play and in the superstar abilities but there is a lot of flaws when you go for a layup on the side and you collide with a player the ball ends up hitting the ball on the board from the back of the board when the ball comes of the ring and is headed towards out of bounds and the player is standing right next to it can’t he reach is hand and grab it
When by example kobe scores with 0.1 seconds left nothing happens it’s like he doesn’t care nobody celebrates but when it’ at the buzzer kobe only shows a joy that ‘s nice but what about the whole team where are they ????
I noticed two many steals in the game even though the mode is a st superstarand I play 5 min per quarter I have an average of 9 steals per game
In the dynasty why don’t they put like in real life pre season games like friendly matches and why they don’t do like in nba 2004 when a player is traded the show the player enter the locker room and saluting two other players I think they should have shown the whole team and if it’s a big trade like the one with shaq it would be cool to have a meating taking pictures and shaq holding his new jersey.
And like in nba 2004 they show in the training camp players running shooting of course this should develop better and being able to read the news like when kobe scores 62 points a news paper shows and the title says kobe scores 62 crush dallas in 3 quarters that would be cool .
There is a lot of players that don’t have faces like smush parker a starting lineup in lakers
The introduction when a game begins last year Chicago bulls had an incredible intro.
There is an all star mode for the play makers why don’t they add it
I would like to see coaches arguing with referees players too on calls
I ‘d like to see the players before the game shaking hands and the same thing at the end of the games
It’s weird when at the finals the one that talks in the intro it would be cooler to say or to sound not Chauncey billups but like this Chauncey BBBBBBBBBbillups or BBBBBben

I hate it when kobe can’t be a scorer and a high flyer and a shooter at the same time
I mean with the playmaker ability I think all the PG should have it I mean dan dickau ,chris paul, brevin knight , andre miller , earl boykins

1. Bring back replays especially when you nail a basket at the end of the quarter i love that the ref decides if its good or not but show the replay. I hate wen i hit an unbelievable game winner and cant even view it

2. Make the CPU smarter down the stretch alot of times when the CPU needs quick buckets they waste all of the clock themselves.

3. As said before make some time of drills that you can put ur team through kinda like madden

4. If possible show some type of highlights at halftime of both teams and some end of the game highlights

5. With the task list on dynasty mode show how many times you have accomplished each task throughout the season.

6. Allow players to choose which freestyle moves they want to use before the game like being able to combine some of the scorers moves with highflyers moves

7. Please take your time and dont rush to get the game out

1.It would be very nice when you make a 3 point or a dunk that the bench guys stand up and get excited (like in NBA Live 2003)
2.Take off unrealistic dunks during matches except on a fast-break and FREESTYLE SUPERSTAR.Not like LeBron spins and make a 360 dunk when there's 7 guys in the zone.
3.Make more bench guys in the PS2 version (three guys are in the floor and others sitted in chairs.)
4.Make more sideline details (more cameramans, more sideline persons)
5.Make more realistic TV feels like a special Action Replay, show the crown like in NBA 2K6 and things like that.
6.Make more timeout CUT-SCENES.
7.Even if Vince Carter is a dunker he can even make lay-ups.
8.Make a TOP-WEEK PLAYS (dunks, plays, blocks...)
9.During SLAM DUNK CONTEST show crowd with the Score Signs and make CUT-SCENES and a thing like TNT TOTAL-MOTION.
10.Don't make arenas look empty (add animations, add more coulours, make the 2D crowd with team coulours like in FIFA 2004)

They need to make a superstar mode like Madden. Make it where they can import there player from NCAA March Madeness 07 or make a player from scratch like Madden. Make it more detailed then Madden tho, and make sure u change the voice mails every year. I was sick of Terrel Davis sayin the same stuff over and over again. Make it where u can drive to practice or sumthin. Shoot in practice. Something like a mixture of Madden and NBA 06, but get more creative and add some more detail in it.
