who said I was showing respect....I played my 1st game and ur Blazers stunk it up  a couple of average players and a couple of solid pieces that can be built on and a bunch of young players lacking the skills that the team needs....ahh well, should be fun trying to turn it around....one thing though, after one game, Travis Outlaw is already in Nate's doghouse

Damn it!, lol, never say that about the Blazers :x

You just have to know how to use them correctly

Hey, The X, I loved your dynasty, I followed it from its infancy.

Is there any way that you could bring back That Guy. He was my favorite Cat from your dynasty. (Y)

Keep with this one

if you saw my Bobcats one last year which lasted from when I got Live '05 till when I got Live '06 it's an indicator of how long I hope this dynasty will last....

Just kidding, welcome back. (Y)

guess the holiday helped, I feel like playing Live again :P

Anthony15 wrote:nice to see you back X, Blazers is a young team, that isn't a playoff contender, i hope u'll change it!

I don't expect it will change this season but hopefully within a season or two they will be back in the fold....

Emiliano wrote:Yes! The dynasty is back on! good luck X (Y)

yep, the hiatus is over....cheers for the luck, seems like us live '05 dynasty-heads need it to open up some more time....

nah, I'm just playing with ya  although I do think this season will be a struggle there are some real nice pieces there....

and yep, it will take time to get use to a new group of players....

cheers....you must have been one of the few to be with me from the start, so cheers

as for That Guy, I don't think he'll be back....he had quite a following, the "Larry Nance of the 21st Century"....who knows, Guy might have a cousin or something playing college ball  although this year, I've decided to have a mix of real prospects (about 10 maximum per class), NLSC prospects (about 5 per class) and the rest will be generics (like Guy Dumars) that we all come to luv....I might vary it up so you'll have guys like Rudy Gay, Andrea Bargnani and Adam Morrison in the Top 5, but also a big-time Joe Black or Jesus Moses becoming a potential superstar

thanks for all the comments guys, especially considering I've been slack this year....definitely gives me motivation to deliver....

Actually, I've been "lurking" around NLSC for quite a while, almost a year I think, before I registered.

Well, I can't wait until you start to update this and unveil the many tricks that I'm sure you still have up your sleeve.

Thu Jan 05, 2006 9:35 am

oh man. this should be interesting. 40 pages of X. wonder who will get the longest dynasty. who had it last year?

Thu Jan 05, 2006 10:50 am

Hey, X is sober again... But man, the BLAZERS??? Yawn...

Thu Jan 05, 2006 11:06 am

I love your presentation. Showing exactly whats going on. I was going to do that, but its too hard with a Digital Camera. I like how you showed the upcoming FA's. I cant wait for this one.......Like I said before your Live 2005 Bobcats Dynasty gave me the best impression thats why I joined. Anyways when are you going to be starting games? Are you going to do a Preseason.....I kind of hope not cuz I cant wait. And also....I dont know if you mentioned on this thread, how many games will you be playing per season?

Cyril Takayama wrote:oh man. this should be interesting. 40 pages of X. wonder who will get the longest dynasty. who had it last year?

40 pages....doubt it....as far as longest-running dynasty, I had to have taken that title last year

D-Weaver wrote:Hey, X is sober again... But man, the BLAZERS??? Yawn...

you know me, I choose a young team that is pretty hopeless and slowly build the pieces of the puzzle....as far as boring goes, I think they're much more interesting than the Orlando Magic  I've never really been a fan of Magic dynasties....just something about the team, maybe it's Francis or the whatnot, but no appeal there....so to each their own my friend

No pre-season, not really my style....I will learn the game in the regular season as I did with my Bobcats one....I'm already a month into season (granted it's only a 29 game season so I get through them quicker this time) so update shouldn't be too far away hopefully....

thanks for kind words everyone, and Jugs, I'm slowly learning to use some of the guys better, including your man Travis Outlaw who has shown he is pretty solid when being defended by white guys

Fri Jan 06, 2006 3:20 pm

I'm not sure who had the longest Dynasty...it'd take some research but I know that the X, Micchy_Boy, DreamWeaver were among the tops...

...I do know that The X had the most submissions on the Birdie Board :D

So, yeh welcome back The X! I take it I don't have to bother you about submitting your pstats! You did a great job last year in doing so...even when I had a hard time just keeping up with the whole thing!

Looking forward to checking out your '06 Dynasty!

yeah, Outlaw seems to be up-and-down but seems to be a poor man's Darius Miles at this stage with a better outside shot....if that makes sense

really, it doesn't really matter who's was the longest....
if we're talking about '05 dynasties (Honor's was '04 dynasty)::
Most Pages: Mafia (36), X (32), Micchy Boy (31), Seraph (31)
Most Viewed: Micchy Boy (140,556), Mafia (122,322)
Most Posted: Mafia (1,793), X (1,563), Micchy Boy (1,540), Seraph (1,538)
Longest Running: X (351 days give or take, probably a month shorter but tried to continue dynasty but dbf failure stopped it), Mafia (204 days)

you know what all that means, nothing....actually it just means we were all dedicated to everyone and enjoyed delivering dynasties....who had the longest running (me  ) does not matter, it's just that ppl enjoyed them....

enough talk though....Mark has kindly made me a template to assist me in my dynasty....will update in next couple of days....thanks for your patience

Sat Jan 07, 2006 3:18 pm

TOUGH ROAD AHEAD BECKONS FOR NATE & HIS BOYS

As he left his first press conference as the Portland Trailblazers' new head coach, Nate McMillan couldn't help but wonder if he had made the right decision this past summer. He had transformed a group of players that no other team wanted and had turned them into one of the surprise packages of the 2004/05 season. They had taken 2 games off the NBA Champion San Antonio Spurs and pushed them further than any thought possible in the 2nd Round of last season's playoffs. It's not like the team didn't want him back, he saw an opportunity and a payday in Oregon that he couldn't turn his back on.

McMillan had been brought in to take over an inexperienced and completely gutted Blazers' roster, and been asked to repeat his coaching feat from the previous season. Not an easy task when your starting PG is only one year removed from high school and your most experienced player that the youngsters will look up to has more in common with the law than the basketball court. With no bona-fide stars like Ray Allen to lead the team, this was never going to be an easy coaching assignment for McMillan.

McMillan quickly stopped himself thinking these unpleasant thoughts. His Sonics' days were over, he had a new job at hand, restoring the Blazers' to their former glory. As much as he would like to push these thoughts to the back of his head, an opening night 47 point loss to the Sacramento Kings, one of the worst losses in franchise history, did little to help this cause. As McMillan closed his eyes that night, he could not escape the numbness that rippled throughout his entire body. His coaching tenure in Portland was going to be far from a cakewalk.

Kinda sounds like a stroke  That's sad to lose by 47, I'm pretty sure the bench warmers enjoyed that game though

^^^ coaching these Blazers will do that to you

BLAZERS MONTHLY RECAP - NOVEMBER 2005

Things aren't looking so rosy in the Rose Garden at the moment, as the Blazers had a dismal month, finishing November with a 1-5 record. After the horrible season opener in Sacramento, the Blazers couldn't deliver down the stretch and fell at home to the Boston Celtics. A change was made as Ruben Patterson was inserted into the starting lineup with Darius Miles swinging to the SG spot. This change immediately resulted in a strong 21 point victory on the road. One might have thought that the team's fortunes had changed, that was until they ran into Lebron and his Cavaliers who systematically slaughtered the Blazers to drop the team back to Earth. With the road trip over, the team returned home where they lost a heartbreaker to the defending champion San Antonio Spurs (see Game of Month Recap for more details). The Blazers finished the month with a home loss to the dismal Atlanta Hawks, to drop to 1-5 overall, and nursing a 3-game losing streak going into December.

November characterised the team in a nutshell, inconsistent. The team definitely has some talented youngsters, but they are very inconsistent. The most consistent performers during the month were Zach Randolph and Ruben Patterson, who are coincidently the team's most experienced players. Great promise has been shown at times by youngsters Sebastian Telfair, Jarrett Jack and Travis Outlaw. Despite the poor start, the team just needs to take one game at a time and keep its head up and play hard, and the season should hopefully turn around for the young Blazers.
