Playing with 3 Gamepads in NBA Live 06

Postby jowp on Wed Jan 04, 2006 6:38 pm

Hi! I have a question regarding playing NBA Live 06 with three gamepads. I currently have a PS1-to-USB adaptor which can connect two PS1 controllers to to my computer's USB port. I am now planning to buy a real PC gamepad (e.g Logitech, etc.) and am now wondering if all of the three controllers would be recognized by the game. Thanks in advance for all your help guys :)

By the way, does anyone have any recommendation on which specific gamepad I should buy? Thanks again!

I thought up to four controllers could be recognised. I've never tried that myself though, so that's just hearsay.

Hopefully it will work, if you know someone who has a gamepad their not using, try to borrow it and see if the game recognizes all 3 gamepads.

For the gamepad, you could get a logitech rumblepad or logitech dual action, they look just like a ps controller. I've had two dual actions and their functionality broke, so I got a logitech rumblepad2 and it works great. There's also saitek, but I don't own one so I can't tell you what its like.

It would be cool if you could get 10 people together and each person controlls 1 pesition for each team and have a 5 on 5 but I doen't think the game can reconize that many controlers [also you would need alot of usb ports]

Avrah, that would be cool, I wish 10 people could play online like that. If BF2 can have 64 players......then wtf can they do with live?

PS1-USB

Postby jowp on Fri Jan 06, 2006 11:40 am

@ noodle

the Ps1 to USB converter is like an adapter that can accomodate 2 ps1 controllers and then connects to a single USB port.. the PC recognizes it as two controllers..
i have already tried it with some emulators such as Nester and Visual Boy Advance and it works well..
of course, i'm using it with NBA live 06 and it works so well.. i just wanna try nba live with 3 gamepads coz i'm kinda tired playing with the keyboard (my two brothers use the ps1 controllers) :)[/img]

I have played with four controllers, right here in my house.

Real nice experience, we created us four, and played with player lock controlling ourselves! (Y)

ei Jona,
that's so cool! but what are the controllers you used to play? all of the controllers are connected to one USB port each? so does this mean you can still play up to five because no one is using the keyboard.. i need to confirm this before buying another gamepad.. thanks a lot!

I have 4 USB ports and we all played with each's Logitech Dual Action. The keyboard is non-usable when there are 4 controllers plugged in. (Y)
