Here's What I'm Doing

Postby joemimic on Tue May 20, 2003 6:32 pm

I did a fantasy draft but set it up so I had one of the top 3 picks, picked my franchise player (Tracy McGrady) Then I forfeited my next 4 picks and began building my team from there.

I ended up with a starting five of:

C- Dale Davis
PF- PJ Brown
SF - Gordan Giricek
SG - Tracy McGrady
PG - Erick Barkley

Bench Consists Of: Nick The Brick Anderson, Jon Barry, Bruce Bowen, Elden Campbell, Pubert Davis, Art Long And Tractor Traylor.

This had made for some tough play but so far i'm 2-0. Another good thing is I only have 2 players signed past this season (Giricek 1.4 For 2 Years and McGrady for 5) So nice offseason hopefully coming my way :D

That can actually hurt you if you don't resign the majority of them and expect to sign Tim Duncan or someone like that.

MJ's right. But I like the idea, placing yourself at a disadvantage to create a new challenge. Keep us posted. :)

What does "forfeit pick" actually do? You cannot trade picks, so will you get a better pick next time when you forfeit both picks after a season? Or is it just the way of saying "I don't want a rookie" or "I don't have space on my roster for another guy"? So "forfeit pick" is like "abandon draft"...without having an influence on one's next seasons?

Yes, it's just giving up your pick. It has nothing to do with any upcoming drafts.

Well I do plan on resigning a few players but I'm expecting and hoping to have some cap leftover for maybe a Tim Duncan or a Jason Kidd...Afterall Erick Barkley can't run this team forever. :D

Could someone give me the proper tags or what to do so I could post my stats from my season? Thanks!

I don't there's a tables tag in BB Code, but I could be wrong...the best I can suggest is to Enable HTML in your profile, and create a table containing the statistics.
