ALL-STAR GAME, advantages of playing it?

Postby Lord_Muck on Thu Dec 29, 2005 2:12 pm

I know there are advantages of winning Trophy's for individual contests such as 3pt shoutout and the Dunk competition, but are there any possible advantages to playing the Rookie game and the All-Star game?

Ok, so i'm playing the rookie game right now, using the sophomores team, where do they get the sophomores from, as the word Sophomore would indicate they r still in college why do they have jerseys of an NBA team on them? are they not the players that will be available in the upcoming draught?

Rookie = 1st yr NBA player
Sophomore = 2nd yr NBA player

as for the games itself, i always skip them....i don't see the point in playing a game that doesn't mean anything.

ahhh thanks for that Matt, i'm sure when i used to be into Bball a lot more it was East V West Rookies.

Only one thing i can see as a possible advantage is, i played All-Star game, got my Bulls player, Kirk Hinrich as the Player of the Game, and all of a sudden he appeared on the MVP CANDIDATES list, and he wasn;t there before.

Now after that i accidently quit without saving, so this time i didn;t play the game, and Kirk Hinrich isn;t on the MVP CANDIDATES list.

What u guys think?

no problem.....yes, back in the late 90's they still had the East vs West rookies game, but i think they switched it in 00. Could be wrong.
