You know, as an avid online player I struggled for a while trying to find a surefire way to stop the superstar stuff and play str8 up ball. But, I came to my senses and realized that when you play a human opponent online, the only thing that matters is the W. To most, how you go about it is irrelevant. So you just have to fight fire with fire. If you want to be honest and beat that player playing str8 up, it can be done, you jus better not miss, and make the occasional stop on D. And the superstar shots don always go in, just make sure you capitalize on the two or three that miss. That is all you can do really.

And what is this about 2K6 having better graphics? Just how old are you? If 2K6 satiates your desire for good graphics and animation then you've gotta problem. You talk about players moving slow. Watch a real NBA game and see if they can run the floor from one end to the other in 3 seconds like in 2K6... I literally timed that. 3 seconds was all it took. The only thing I credit to 2K6 is that not all jumpshots go in, which I think is fine. Everything other aspect of that game can't even be compared to live 06.

dude, do you need glasses or are you so independent that you see things completely different from all of us normal people?

but each person are entitle to their own opinion.

here's some other people people's opinion

i guess i have to ask you the same question, just how old are you?

you're saying live is not realistic, but so as 2k6. again, just how old are you? from day one when 2k came out of dreamcast it was a sim.
don't beieve me, just ask all the people i mention above who agreed 2k has better graphics.

and don't argue with me about 2k6...i am the one who have the game!!!

and the game speed at defaut is perfect. but if that is too fast for you(rediculeous) you can adjust it.

and if you like realism, how can you say live is better in all other aspect except the shooting while you admitted to live being an arcade game?

after i while playing 2k6 now, i am able to discover more flaws to it, and find glitches, which are getting to the point of it losing its closeness to the real NBA. 2k6 its far far far from being the NBA, but it is the closest thing out there.

1. This is probably the dumbest point that has ever been pitched to me in an arguement.

2. Your sentences aren't making any sense. I'd ridicule you, but something tells me english isn't your first language. If that's the case then I guess you're doing well.

3. You talk about opinions, which is fine. But then why argue like your stating facts if you can only back up what you say with other people's opinions?

4. I told you earlier that I have 2K6, and still play it now and then.

5. I wasn't saying the gameplay is too fast. I'm talking about how small the courts are compared to the players.

6. At what point did I even say that Live was an arcade game? I don't even think I USED the word in my previous posts.

7. 2k6 is FULL of glitches. The way they dunk the ball is corny as hell. They look right stiff and it seems as if they don't even touch the rim when they dunk it. Their movement is horrible too. Everytime you switch directions is looks like they're skating. There have been too many times where I've seen my player drive to the hoop and dunk without taking a single step. NBA Live 06 on the other hand, has nearly perfected the footwork of the players. That's just one of many things.

8. After this arguement led to believe that you're an idiot. Not saying you are, as I'm sure many other people consider you to be an intelligent individual. But this is just my opinion. With that said, I'd like to get back to the main discussion.

You know, as an avid online player I struggled for a while trying to find a surefire way to stop the superstar stuff and play str8 up ball. You know, I agree. There have been a few times where I've beaten FSS abusers by just playing text book basketball. But I'd still like to have fun while doing that. And you know, it's funny... I don't claim to be an excellent player at Live or anything... But over the past month that I've played online, I've only been beaten by teams with an inside scorer.

I've been beaten by, and ONLY by people that use:

Rockets, Mavs, Sonics, and the Pistons.

It's a pretty huge coincidence.

Any non-visual glitches because that's a pretty shallow one?

It's being a 2k6 thread... IMO I don't really use it, just when I can, because keyboard isn't easy to play with. The Gameplay may be better... I don't know.

Non-visual glitches? To list those would be irrelevant. For some stupid reason we got into the discussion of graphics, and so stating non-visual glitches wouldn't really back up my point about how Live has better graphics than 2k6. Shallow as they are, the glitches are still there. And very noticeable at that.

Anyway... The discussion is probably ruined but for anyone else who's viewing the topic, I'd like some feedback on the real topic. That being "No Freestyle Superstars."

On my Bucks team i have nobody with any FSS capabilities. I'm finding it tougher to win (mostly because the players aren't that good) but really i haven't seen that much difference.

I never used to abuse the FSS anyway.

I'm sure a lot of people don't abuse the system. But even those who make that claim tend to go back on their word. You'd be surprised how far people will go to win.
