How important is the "potential" category when drafting players?
I used to scout draft classes for my needs, finding players with strong ratings in the categories I need. I drafted a 65 pointguard with 'average' potential. He's 6'6, a good 3pt shooter, and I really want him to get better. I train the hell out of him, but after 3 years, he's at 66. What's the deal?
Has anybody noticed what makes draft picks good players? Any insight on scouting players?
Here is what I've learned...
You can tag and scout multiple players on a single trip. This means less clicking every calendar day.
You can get just about any trade through by tossing in draft picks. This is particularly useful when your dynasty is a playoff team in a weak draft year. It's not likely you'll draft anybody worth having on your team, so it's a good to make moves that will help you win champion
