Good recap of your training camp and the training staff that you hired, it's always cool to hear about that stuff.

Great as always X... Keep up the brilliant work :D

On a different note, checked out my dynasty lately, I've got going now :P
Check you later man!(y)

sorry man, didn't even realise it was Matin32....didn't know the heck who this new Mini Shaq guy was  will definitely check yours out although I'm hoping you make less trades this time

jxuusa wrote:haha jason richardson working on his dunking, that reminds me of something from some other guy's dynasty... boykins working on his blocking!

and the staff hiring, i never knew there was anything beyond what was shown, never scrolled right XD

and dude man, put HA in the lineup!

seems like Ha has a bit of a following....maybe he can be my Sean Marks-like 12th man....not as talented of course, but you can't expect a 12th man like Sean to fall in your laps every day

air wrote:I was going to start a dynasty with the Blazers until I got very annoyed at looking at the yellow bits in the court lines in the key..

Will be interesting to see how you do, should be quite a challenge.

yellow bits in the key....damn, haven't even played a game with Blazers yet, hope they ain't too annoying :(

btw, I like the challenge

chezzy62 wrote:Those recaps are amazing! You did a good job with the staff, hiring 3 B people, thats a nice variety. Nice training camp results too, keep up the good work, can't wait until you play your first game.

I actually tried to hired an Assistant who was rated A- but he signed with someone else....he was a hotshot who was skilled in everything and also had a specialty in Shooting....

Thierry Henry wrote:Great recaps man (Y) Also nice job with the staff and the training camp.

cheers for kind words

Mark. wrote:Nice coverage of the offseason stuff, liking it man (Y)

Bassy a star....can't really see it happening this season as his shot isn't there yet....in the future, I hope so....although I will be training not only his shot up, but I also want him to be a freestyle passing star

Its_asdf wrote:Good recap of your training camp and the training staff that you hired, it's always cool to hear about that stuff.

 wasn't sure if anyone would like that sorta stuff but glad a couple of you do....I figured since it was one of the main new "features" of Live '06, that I better have a bit of player development involved in the dynasty :P

Naah man haven't planned on going overboard, in the beginning anyways  Love your endurance to stick with your guys but eventually I can't

Just going to get rid of some dead weight... *hint*Batista and Edwards*hint*

Fri Nov 11, 2005 1:21 pm

can't wait for opening night (Y)

Fri Nov 11, 2005 1:33 pm

the following? must be a need to see asians in the league lol.

Fri Nov 11, 2005 9:21 pm

nice hiring X.... i really like your story telling on how you hired them......

by the way, your league allows you to play even though your team only have 4 players? in our league when i was still playing, wouldn't allow that... they wouldn't even allow us to play if we're only five...... i think the minimum is seven in our league.... anyway, awesome game, 27 points, 5/9 from the arc..... impressive.... wish i could still play, i kinda retire due to torn acl..... so i'd rather call it quits than forcing it....

anyway, back to your dynasty, good luck on your kick-off game.....

glad to hear it, although I think you need those big guys with your current frontcourt situation....

cheers....yeah, it's strange that they aren't strict on that, but they are strict on the fact that everyone has to wear all black shorts with no stripes or big logos or designs....it's not really a club league, just a social league with a couple of divisions....pretty good talent level, mostly everyone can play well....but yeah, our team has 7 players when we have everyone available, but usually people go on holidays or have to study for exams or have to work late so sometimes we struggle for numbers....I will probably start my own team with mates next year....yeah, I played alright after going scoreless in the 1st quarter....I wasn't on fire or anything otherwise it woulda been more like 40 points, but yep, my outside shot feels the best it's felt since I played in high school all those years ago....shame about your ACL, but I understand as I've got a mate who blew his out once playing indoor soccer and then again player indoor cricket....once it goes, it's a weak link....it's a shame, but maybe you can involve yourself in basketball another way....

I think Bassy will become a freestyle passer much fasater than his shot improving!

as do I mate....but he'll have to get better at his shot at some point....but for now, I'll be happy with a freestyle passer

Yeah I do need their size... but like you said, it's realistic for Atlanta to trade a bit  I'll figure out something :D

BLAZERS CAP SITUATION

Let's take at a quick look at the outstanding contracts on the Blazers' roster, and how the team will be able to manoeuvre given its future cap space.

Year 1:

Image

Joel Przybilla is in a contract year and if he proves it, the Blazers will pay. Przybilla has shown a desire to stick with the Blazers even if it means turning down more lucrative offers from other clubs. Expect the Blazers to quickly re-sign the young bigman to a long-term deal at the season's end.

Year 2:

Image

The often troublesome Ruben Patterson's long-term deal finally comes off the books. Look for the Blazers to try and deal him either this season or next season to get something back for him, perhaps in a deal for a backup PF. The main prize re-signing will likely be Travis Outlaw, but it is no gimme. The Blazers will have to start giving the kid serious minutes in the 2006/07 season to persuade him to stay.

Year 3:

Image

Portland will be relieved that Theo Ratliff's sizeable contract will come to an end. Expect the Blazers to lock up PG Sebastian Telfair, that of course is provided the Knicks don't get into his ear first. Versatile Russian forward Viktor Khryapa is also a free agent and it will be interesting to see how far his game has developed by this point.

Year 4:

Image

A trio of rookies with cheap, rookie contracts will each get their chance to shine. Everyone knows the Blazers are in love with high schooler Martell Webster's game, but they also like guards Jarrett Jack and Sergei Monia.

Year 5:

Image

Darius Miles is getting paid well and it is time for him to prove to everybody that he is worth. He has all the physical tools and feel for the game to do it, but it's all up to him. If he doesn't perform, look for the Blazers to look to deal him within a year or two while he still has some stock left.

Year 6:

Image

Finally we come to Portland's "franchise player". He's called this because he is being paid like one. The Blazers need Zach Randolph to perform and he has the potential to be a perenial All-Star. More likely, he's gonna be an upper echelon PF in the West who will never be the team's franchise player, and he will likely be up for trade at some point in the future.

cheers....I'm always planning for the future....what kind of GM would I be if I didn't always keep on eye on the future?

Jugs wrote:WOOOOOO!

who said I was showing respect....I played my 1st game and ur Blazers stunk it up  a couple of average players and a couple of solid pieces that can be built on and a bunch of young players lacking the skills that the team needs....ahh well, should be fun trying to turn it around....one thing though, after one game, Travis Outlaw is already in Nate's doghouse

ShAuN wrote:Nice finally. Ill be checking this one more frequently than ur Bobcats one

sweet....the more the merrier....
