he's not lazy. he just doesn't have good rebounding instincts.

when he was still on the bulls, skiles would say "jump" when the media asked what he thought curry needs to do to rebound better lol

it's not like he doesn't try, you could see he was making the effort to box out. but for some reason or another he's just not as aggressive to retrieving misses as he is scoring
Jump.

Jerome James= bust so far this preseason. Larry Brown even said in post-game report that he needs to get in better shape over the next 7-9 days if he wants playing time.... looks like anther overpaid knick running the 12th man role.

Jerome James will hog all the cheeseburgers away from Curry which in turn will help Curry get in shape. James does have a use.

Needs to get in better shape????? WTF was he doing over the summer? Wasn't he the cat who said the Spurs couldn't stop him? Knicks fell for this underachiever hook, line & sinker...OMFG

Ruben Patterson or Darius Miles? Just another head case for Larry Brown to deal with. It'll be great watching Larry's reaction on the sideline this season. :D

My friend's supposed to get tickets for Friday's game against NJ. Haven't been to a game since Sprewell was on the team. Should be interesting.

 this annoys me
the knicks traded nazr for rose+taylor
now the knicks are looking to ship both rose and taylor else where
what kind of crap is that??
The Knicks have a surplus of power forwards and are trying to trade Malik Rose, who became expendable the moment Antonio Davis was included in the deal for Eddy Curry. Maurice Taylor is also available but his contract makes him undesirable. Penny Hardaway has value because he's entering the final year of his contract, but matching up his $15.7 million salary is no easy task. Portland would gladly take rookie forward David Lee, but the Knicks want to hold on to their three first-round picks.

they trying to acquire a starting SF
brown wants to play Q. richardson @ the SG position
leaving marbury at the PG?

crawford is missing in this picture....unless he back up Q. Rich and marbury..leaving nate with little minutes :(

even with larry brown and no jason kidd the knicks still lose to the nets... ever since kidd joined the nets the knicks always seem to lose to them.
But I notice the knicks are having turnover problems so far..hopefully that will change when the season begins and ball is in marbury hands more.

i thought the refs did a horrible job tonight. not only were some of the calls bad, but they were calling these ticky tack fouls which disrupted the flow of the game. even when the calls were against the nets you can see larry brown getting frustrated cuz the team cant get any flow with so many stoppages.

Just got back from the game. The young guys are trying hard & hustling, but too many damn turnovers. And our inside game is a joke.

Maybe Zeke is banking on Curry's "potential."

There is a skill to rebounding, and Curry obviously doesn't have it. To read where a ball will bounce depending on the shot is tough. If you don't have it, all you can do is box out and hope it randomly bounces your way.

Good rebounders like Rodman could read the shot and move to position for the board, which is why he grabbed a lot of his rebounds on the move.

Size is only going to help stationary box-out guys. Heck, look at 6' 8" Granger, 15 boards against the Spurs in the pre-season? Sick.

Knicks got there ass kicked in overtime.

I feel sorry for the young gunz like Robinson, Ariza, Frye & Lee. They deserve more minutes and when they got minutes they did alright.

Ariza - 17 min ( 5 Points, 2 Steals, 3 Rebounds, 1 Steal )
Robinson - 10 min ( 2 Points, 3 Rebounds, 2 Assists )
Frye - Did Not Play
Lee - Did Not Play

I wanna see more of these guys play

i would assume that Thomas doesn't actually have a plan.

I bet Marbury is frustrated he only took 12 shots in 41mins :x

good luck Larry...how long until he pulls his hair out?

No shock to me that the Knicks suck, just look at the roster. These aren't Larry Brown's types of players. The way they play defense is a disgrace. WTF was Isiah thinking putting this team together? His Pistons won with hard-nosed defense & rebounding, so why did he turn the Knicks into Phoenix Lite?

Brown was insane to sign up for this torture. Looking at the schedule, I predict 30-38 wins.

Ariza had 2 dunks , one at the buzzer and another putback. Almost dunked it on Foyle though . Solid game for David Lee . Oooh yea, Ariza blocked the shit outta Murphy from behind .
