ALERT: Do you need a DX 9.0 C! card (most ATI only DX 9.0B)?

Hi,

Is it true that a DX 9.0 "C" card is required for NBA Live 06?! Go to http://www.nba-live.com/nba2006/index.php, click "Key Stats" and scroll down to system requirements and there it says that DX 9.0C is required.

Does that mean that alot of ATI cards like X700 Pro won't play this game right cause apparently X700Pro is only DX 9.0 B and this also counts for alot of other midrange ATI cards like X800, etc.. So, why does it need DX 9.0C and is DX 9.0B not enough?! Is there so much difference between B and C?!

Anybody playing it with an X700Pro? Anybody please clarify this. Is it better to buy a 6600GT card then?!

Second, are the X700Pro and/or 6600GT more then powerfull enough to play 06 with all graph settings to HIGH and still have a fluid framerate in the game or is a better card required?!! Anybody who has either X700Pro or 6600GT who can tell me this from experience please?!

oh, so you only need a software update, it's not like your video and audio hardware need to support version c of DX9?! Is it like that?

yes u only need to update ur directx check ur nba live cd i think have direct x installer there.
