Your Line-Up?

Postby D_up on Thu Oct 27, 2005 2:56 pm

I was just wondering what line-up all of you guys are running in LIVE right now, just post player positions, ratings, and team:

Charlotte Bobcats - Year 3

PG: Felton (80) / SimRookie Drafted 31 (71) / Sarunas Jasikevicius (68)
SG: Michael Redd (78) / Kareem Rush (69) / CJ Miles (63)
SF: Lebron James (98) / Gerald Green (77)
PF: Emeka Okafor (83) / Sean May (73*)
C: SimRookie Drafted 1 (78) / Primoz Brezec (68) / Chris Andersen (65) / SimRookie Draft (?**) 64

Roster Space = 1 Empty
Salary Cap = 404k Under.

What I love about my current lineup... Is that with a great lineup like that i'm still under the salary cap. I also was able to pick up both Lebron and Redd from FA not through one-sided trades. The only guys on my roster above that I traded for were Sarunas (but I gave up Shandon Anderson and a decent rookie point guard I drafted) and Gerald Green (it was a somewhat one sided trade...).

At the end of this year i'll have around 17-18 million in cap room so resigning Okafor at the end of this year should be a piece of cake! I'm trying to not go too far over the salary cap so it's unlikely i'll keep all of my free agents from this year as I need to save cap flexibility for when Felton, May, and Green become free agents...

But oh well, what are all of your current rosters right now?

---------------------------------------------------------------------
*I forget what May's rating is I believe it is a 73 though...
**Drafted somewhere between 20-30. I think it was 22...

Fantasy Draft, Trailblazers, Year 3:

PG: Jasikevicius (70) / Drafted Rookie (67) / Drafted 2nd year guy converted from SG (70)
SG: Jason Richardson (89) / DerMarr Johnson (70) / Kareem Rush (68)
SF: Rashard Lewis (83) / DerMarr Johnson (70) / Francisco Garcia (65)
PF: Dirk Nowitzki (88) / Michael Sweetney (68)
C: Nenad Kristic (71) / Drafted 2nd year guy (65) / Drafted Rookie (65)

Roster Space: 1
Cap Space: ~10 million over

I drafted 28th in the fantasy draft and got a steal with Tayshaun Prince in round 3 (he was rated 84, the next best guy on the board was 79 I believe); had to trade him and Luke Ridnour to get Richardson since I couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with Prince.

I simmed most of my last season and am thinking about joining another team. I've set the Bobcats up pretty well so I don't think the AI will butcher too many signings but I feel that the team just has too many scorers on it right now and it's time to move on. I might try and trade for Felton though just because I was working on making him into a freestyle superstar playmaker...

Phoenix Sun, first year (still). Used the first roster patch available on the site and jump straight to dynasty:

C - Amare Stoudemire
PF - Shawn Marion
SF - LeBron James
SG - Joe Johnson (trade him back. could've got better, but I can't accept the fact that he left  )
PG - Dwyane Wade

6th man - Corey Maggette (SF/SG, if I need fast break/dunker), Michael Redd (SG/PG, 3 point), Mike Miller (PF/SF, 3 point, big man, rebound).

With this team, I can score at will. The def. is so bad under the paint... Maybe I'll try to get a big man to boost the def.

Detroit- Season 1 (1 win away from Season 2)

C Ben Wallace 84/Dale Davis
PF Rasheed Wallace 89/A McDyess 72/D Milicic 57/ J Maxiell 60
SF Tay Prince 84/M Evans 68/R Dupree 62
SG RIP 76/R Frahm 58/C Delfino 60
PG Billups 83/ L Hunter 70/C Arroyo 65

Roster Space = 0
Cap Space= -15

upcoming offseason will see Dupree, Maxiell, Delfino go, possibly Arroyo.

In the draft i have my eye on a 7'1 big man, a SF sharpshooter and a PG to eventually replace the aging Davis & Hunter.

I switched over from the Bobcats to the Lakers in the same dynasty, and wow... The roster was just a complete mess... And i'm starting to think I actually ended up making it a lot worse than I did better ...

This is basically the fourth year of the entire dynasty and the roster stands as:

PG: Speedy Claxton / SimPlayerYear1* (65)
SG: Kobe Bryant (92) / SimPlayerYear2 (68)
SF: SimPlayerYear1 (67) / SimRookie Drafted 31 (61)
PF: Nick Collison (74) / SimPlayerYear1 (70) / SimPlayer** (65) / SimPlayerFiller (59) / SimPlayerFiller (58)
C: Andris Biedrins (74) / SimRookie Drafted 4th (67) / Andrew Bynum (64)

How I have adjusted the roster: I did not resign Kwame Brown forcing me to move Odom to power forward... I ended up trading Odom to New Orleans for Speedy Claxton, Nick Collison and SimPlayerYear1 (70) (power forward)... The trade basically lets me play a more traditional lineup and it makes Kobe the focal point of the offense again...

*This point guard won rookie of the year.
** I'm probably going to shift this guy over to the small forward position... He's a little under-sized at 6'8'' for the PF position... However his jumper is going to need major work...

As in my Bobcats dynasty i'm trying to stay pretty close to the cap, i'm currently only 1.57 million over and most of that is because of some of the filler contracts I signed... I am ultimately going to end up being even more over the salary cap but I am once again going to put a limit on how far I go over...

Anyway my team really stinks... Biedrins looks to be solid and Bynum and my SimRookie Center still impress but other than those three players and Kobe my roster is nothing to marvel over... I guess my SF is a lesser version of Andre Iguodala which is kind of cool... But he's nothing more than a replaceable complimentary piece at this point :P.

If you do well with one team another team might ask you to become the GM/Coach of their team at the end of the post season.

Off the top of my head...my Celtics team last year was...

C Ben Wallace (86 OVR)
PF Troy Murphy (76)
SF Marvin Williams (~78, acquired from Atlanta with a 1st Rounder for Paul Pierce)
SG Gerald Green (~77)
PG Mike Bibby (81)

PF Al Jefferson (74)
SG Tony Allen (76)
PG Marcus Banks (69)
SF Joey Graham (72)
C 7'5" stiff that I wasted the 1st Overall Pick on (can't resist the freaks)
SG 6'7" rookie 2nd round steal (67 OVR, 84 FG, 84 3PT, something like 88 speed)
SF 7'1" run/jumper with no other skills

I was hoping they'd contend for a title, they were pretty crappy though...and the upcoming draft was AWESOME, so I had some fun...

I traded Ben Wallace to San Antonio for Richard Jefferson (90 OVR), then traded Jefferson for Allen Iverson...then traded Iverson and Bibby to Miami for Shaq and Wade. I think I traded Tony Allen and Troy Murphy for two more 1st Round Picks (which was hard to do)...then made some other deals which I forgot...my current crazy line-up is...

C Shaq (86)
PF Al Jefferson (76)
SF Marvin Williams (83)
SG Gerald Green (77)
PG Dwyane Wade (93)

PF 7'1" rookie converted Center (73 OVR, he's nasty in the paint)
PG 6'1" converted SG 2nd year generated guy (74)
SG 6'7" rookie (70 or so, he's got crazy athleticism, dunking, ballhandling, plays point sometimes)
C 7'5" late first rounder rookie (70)
SF 7'1" run/jumper (68)
SG 2nd round steal guy (68 OVR, our only real shooter)
C 7'5" stiff that I wasted a 1st overall pick on

I'm expecting us to win the title...then I'll go somewhere and try to be realistic.

Unrealistic... But as long as it's fun ...

I'm basically getting real frustrated with my Lakers Dynasty the guys i'm drafting just don't seem to be the studs i'm looking for and at 21+ million and two years remaining on his contract Kobe is just killing my salary cap... His stats have gone down for two straight seasons as well...

Even though I wanted to build around Kobe I don't really feel like waiting two years to sign him to a smaller more manageable contract just so I will be able to finally get a second "superstar" to play alongside him...

(The rest of my players don't really command any trade value... With the exception of Bynum and Biendrins... The only two guys aside from Kobe I really want to keep... Well then there's my previous 4th overall pick center who hasn't improved at all in his second year but is still a solid player...

Seattle – beginning of the first season:

C: Eddy Curry (74)
PF: Emeka Okafor (78)
SF: Rashard Lewis (81)
SG: Ray Allen (88)
PG: Devin Harris (72)

Bench:
Chris Wilcox (71?)
Raymond Felton (73)
Josh Childress (75)
Some other guys below 70

I am really new to NBA live. And to the basketball as well:) since Czechs don’t have it in their blood. I’ve traded almost everyone from the Seattle to get this team. I don’t know what I am doing wrong, but even with this line-up I get awful rebound results and keep loosing:) Not mentioning every other pass gets intercepted… Any suggestions whom should I get or get rid of? …besides I should learn how to play:)
