EA's Mistake on Computer's Offensive Reboundings.

Computer's Offensive Rebounds ability is EXTREMELY TOO POWERFUL.
And:
Yes, I've read all those other posts complaining about Offensive Rebs which ended up with some Pro-Gamer blaiming it on Noobs that they don't know how to post up or jump too slow. But, IT ISSS Computer's (EA) false that computer are doing too many Offensive Rebs.


I am playing Timberwolves in Dynasty. Teh team with one of the BEST DEFENSIVE REBOUNDER IRL & ITG.
I am playing in Locked-player mode on my 99 ratings SF, which means that I cannot Possibly control my own Posts to post up for rebounds nor the team Should be Relying on me to rebounds. This means that I need to rely mainly on the computer-user-assist to control my posts and let them rebound.

AND LOOK AT MY TEAM REBOUNDS RATING!!

Here's an example of those Pro-Gamers who won't accept the fact and blame it on Noobs. And, Yes.. I've turn CPU Offensive Reb to 0, and mine to 100.

It really depends o how you play.

set defensive rebs to 85 each and offensive rebs at 5 for both User and CPU, much better that way,plus learn how to rebound better, remember EA took out the "crashboards" outta this years game thus the user must MANUALLY rebound

Check it out, you put the simulated time on 12 minutes, I'm freakin' sure you don't play 12 minute games, that's why its so skewed. If you play 6 - 7 minute games, put the simulated game time to 9 minutes then you'll get more realiable stat lines....

Referring back to the first post in this thread... Say I, as a locked-SF-player, do 10 Rebs per game (4mins qtr), my team overall Rebs will be 99+(10*8) = 179 total Rebs. And Looooook at the picture, other teams have 200+ total Rebs!!
Now, I'd say 10 Rebs a game for an SF is pretty rediculous already, not mentioning how good Garnett should be doing at Rebounding in all those past 8 games. My team total Rebs should be higher than this one in the picture.
This clearly prooove that EA did mess up on Computer Offensive Rebounding.

I think your problem lies in the Player Lock. The game is formed so that you actually need to go for the rebounds yourself in order to get them. Play without player lock and try to go for the offensive rebounds and you'll feel the difference. (Also don't try to get the rebounds with your created player, try to get them with the player in the best position for it)

Notice the last two of three rebounds - Maggette should have had the second rebound as his thumb was through the ball, the second rebound Mobley was right on the ball, yet the ball goes to the player on the ground -on the other team. By the way I lost that game by 1, missing a freestyle superstar hook with Elton Brand at the buzzer. Rebounds in the first half were realistic --- Off/Def---- Heat 3/11, Clips 5/14, second half Heat 8/8, Clips 7/6. I'm gonna try following the cpu and pushing him out of the way when he jumps for a board. Also, I've only been able to box out successfully once, but I noticed the player boxing out jumped alot higher then the player being boxed out, and the result was a def rebound.

Man you are way off... You are rebounding at a same pace as the rest of the teams... You extrapolate a little and I see you getting similar numbers at the end of the season, with the difference being the 4 minute quarts compared to the 6 minute quarts...

Look at the picture in the first post... It's no wonder you have 100 boards and the AI has 230... First off, you factor in the 4 minute to 6 minute difference and you've already got 150 boards when compared to the AI, then you take those 150 boards in only 8 (frikkin eight) games and you extrapolate it to match the leagues about 12 games... And voila, you've got your self on a 225 rebound pace when compared to the AI...

The time does the difference and mostly it's due to games played... So if you cannot understand that you can't pull down the same amount of boards in 8 games than other teams can in 12 games, you are seriously demented and need to go play NBA Street or some other game that has no correlation between the game and reality...

DO THE MATH before you start bitching... Math is important at every facet in life, even while playing computer games...

You can obviously tell that many, and I mean many of the people that played NBA Live 06 are very disappointed with the game. We the "Noobs" critisize the game, in a way to reach out to EA Sports with the hopes for a much improved game on the next release of the NBA Live series.

I did my complaining about this game earlier, and even when you guys try to reason out the noobs by swearing(Laxation) or some fixation of tweaking in the game, it still doesn't change the fact that majority does not appreciate this game.

I was readin operation sports and the guy who came up with the team play sets recommended playing with player lock on teh pg, defending the perimeter and let your big men handle the paint and the rebounds... I havn't tried it yet because i find playerlock awkward but the people there seems to like it... so i guess playerlock isn't the problem here
