This is nothing new. I'v happened to throw the ball off the backboard and into the basket a few times, a lot actually. I even won a 1 on 1 game this way. In 05, I prohopped under the basket after a rebound. I couldn't move or it would be traveling. I couldn't shoot/dunk or it won't count. So i just threw the ball up with the self allyoop button and it went right into the basket for a win. I'v also done this in dunk contest practice where I lobbed it off the floor to have it bounce off the backboard and into the basket.

you can do it in the all-star game and in the rookie chalenge, but you got to be in a fast break or you are likely to cause a turnover

Or like if you were a small guard who couldnt dunk would you just go up and shoot a layup or that shot that you do when you dont dunk it off of an alley-oop?
