lets see. If your talkiing the best stat-wise season, that would be 1987-1988, so his ins scoring would be like 70 because his post up game wasn't really that good. You would also have to raise the block, d aware and steal stats because he won defensive player of the year. Also raise the Pass stat to at least 80 or 85 so he can be a playmaker-he averaged 8 assists that year.

but

if your talking about his best season maybe it could be 72-10 season where so his block, jump, speed, quick, dunk would be lower. You would increase his inscor back to a 90 because he had a post up game. He was stronger when he was older so raise strength. Increase the O aware and D aware to 99 because he was very smart. and finally raise his 3pt to at least 70 because the 3pt line was shorter and he hit 38% of his 3s

One quibble...

When Jordan came back...his strength rating would probably be 70, because that's when he was doing the most posting up and had the most bulk. And that's when his 3PT rating would be 54. When Jordan's strength was around 49, that's when he'd have a 72 3PT rating.

So you should either give him 3PT 54 and up his strength 70, or raise his 3PT to 72 and keep his strength as is.

These are conversions from the old 50-99 system when EA gave Jordan actual ratings, btw.

To be fair, if you carefully inspect Jordan's 3pt shooting numbers (percentages and attempts), you get a picture of a guy who didn't take a lot of threes... most of them were buzzer-beaters at hte end of the shot-clock and such.

When he took lots of threes in a season, he was actually pretty solid, even in years when the line WASN'T moved in. Given that he had awesome form and ridiculous elevation on his jumper, Jordan's three-point rating (if you're not eye-balling it based on candy percentages like raw 3P%) should be closer to 60, 65.

Tone down the Dunk, Jump, and Dribble ratings.
A 99 Dunk and Jump is only applicable to the younger MJ.
A 99 Dribble rating is way too much for MJ in his prime or younger years. Try 90.

It was in the Mid 90's when he was with Kerr and Rodman, Maybe Early-Mid 90's

Late-Mid 90's. 1996-1998 to be exact.

That's not too far from where I have him with my stats conversion.
I find it interesting that you rate him as 49 Strength and 40 DRB. that's pretty close to the truth, but most of the Jordan CAPs I've seen overblow these two particular ratings. Strong for a guard and good rebounder for a guard shouldn't mean equal to or better than Karl Malone.

I'd lower his blocking, but then the majority of players I make are below 30, even 25 is high for the best shotblocking guards.

Jordan was probably the strongest guard in the game, and was awesome posting up.

The ratings in the first post are converted from the last few NBA Lives when Jordan was in the game. So they're probably the most accurate.

EA does not have the reputation of being terribly accurate with their ratings; the ratings are actually based off the numbers a player posted in the preceding season, which may or may not be indicative of a player's actual skills.
