Have Dixon as your backup PG, Richardson as your backup SG. Have Diop and Guyton as your third-string reserves (11th and 12th man respectively).

To give J-Rich more minutes, you could play him alongside McGrady in the backcourt.

Give the edge to Wagner for minutes at point.

Divide the minutes between Amare and Gooden in Amare's favour, but you could always play one of them at centre (preferably Amare).

Give Miles and Butler fairly equal time at SF. You could always play one at SG if you want to rest J-Rich and T-Mac.

And if someone's not working out, you can activate Batiste.

the way i always set my line up is to put at SG and SF players who can run and dunk... coz they are the most common once on the fast break, alos have a C who can pass, u should have a full court pass after a rebpund@

the thing is, i dont want to make guyton my 12th man because hes one of the best 3 point shooters in the game (93) and my squad is sorely lacking in 3 point shooters.

I suggest playing a couple of games to get the feel of your team, so you can distribute the scoring accordingly. But, since you asked for specific suggestions, here goes:

T-Mac is obviously going to be your go-to guy, scoring the most ppg. Whether you have him score 30 ppg as he does in real life depends on your style of play/personal preference.

I suggest Stoudemire as your second option, followed by J-Rich off the bench, or possibly Wagner. Swift and Miles should not be ignored - you could probably have your whole starting 5 averaging around 10 ppg (with McGrady and Stoudemire leading).

the thing is, i dont want to make guyton my 12th man because hes one of the best 3 point shooters in the game (93) and my squad is sorely lacking in 3 point shooters.

I understand that, and it's your team, I'm just throwing my two cents in. :) The only problem with using Guyton as your backup PG is that either Dixon, J-Rich or Butler will have to play fewer minutes - and they're all better players than Guyton. You have to consider what everyone brings to the table - it might be worth sacrificing three point shooting for more all around talent.

But again, it's your game, your preferences, your playing style. I could very well be giving you advice that won't work with your style of play, so do what you feel is best. :) You probably will have to play a few games before you can truly decide on a subtitution pattern, scoring distribution, etc.

i had a simular problem.... AJ is a good 3pt shootter thats all... so what i had was to put him in the last 2-3 min and have his shoot a few 3s... coz his no good driving or pasing what well... but a better player is larry robinson also a FA... in his first game me put up 38 pts in 10 min... just 3s

I think the team is kinda small. I'd try and work Diop into my game plan, because you'll need him against big teams. He's kinda slow and fat though.

Also, if I can suggest one player that's young and great to aquire, try Turkoglu. For me, he's always developed in a great player. When you sim games he doesn't score that much, but when playing I can get 30-40 points easily, his jumper is great.
I'd try and get a young big man (if you plan on having only young players on your team) maybe like Ming, Jermaine O'Neal or Olowakandi.

yeah... agree with what dan said.
for me imo you need a true big man , you have lots of good young power forwards but only Diop at centre (Diop does turn out to be a good defensive player down the road)
