why is a 1 minute video like 400mb even on half size?

Because it's super high quality, completely uncompressed (fraps claims it can't compress it on the fly). It has to go through video editors to make the quality worse and lower size. Notice how the videos you download aren't crystal clear.

you can compress it down to 3 or 4 mb with good quality using windows movie maker or divx compressor.
