My vote goes to Outside Scorer. I don't consider him a shooter given those skills are assigned to players like Ray Allen and Kyle Korver.

um,guys...

EA says a guy has to have an 85 rating on freethrows to be a shooter... yet alot of the "shooters" in the game are under 85%ft in real life....

also

rose shot better from downtown than redd last year, but redd is a shooter and rose isnt? kobe can be a shooter? yet he shot like 81% ft last year?

jalen rose 108/274 3pt .394% ft .854%

ray allen 209/556 3pt .376% ft .883%

michael redd 104/293 3pt .355% ft.854%

what about fred hoiberg? why not him?

.873%ft and .496% 3pt(league best)

rose is a shooter

so are....

jim jackson
damon stoudamire
billups
ridnour
fisher
wesley
szcerbiak
fred jones
gordon

interesting...
maybe ft rating should be 80 next year to qualify and 3pt rating should be 85?

If you look only the numbers, there are a lot of people who should be something they are not... Hoiberg played only sparingly last season and while shooting at a high percentage, he just does not put up enough shot attempts to make him a shooter. He has a great stroke, but a shooter, no. Gordon isn't a shooter nor is Wesley, Fisher or Fred Jones. The only guy remotely from that list that could be a shooter is Szcerbiak... But he isn't healthy enough to award him a shooter ability...

Basically, the super star ability should only be available to the very top of the league...

Numbers aren't everything... You are saying that a guy who hits 30/60 from the three point line and hits over 85% from the free throw line should automatically be shooter... Shooters are famous for their three point touch above anything else... Those guys should be shooters and no one else... Redd and Allen are good examples of Shooters... Houston (now retired) is another good example or Reggie Miller for that matter, he definitely was a shooter.

Rose is definitely a shooter; watch his game.

When he's on fire, he hits from everywhere and when his shot isn't falling, he does nothing. His primary offensive weapon is shooting fadeaways from the block against smaller guards or forwards, or taking pull-ups off a drive, maybe some catch-and-shoots.

He's definitely a shooter. He's not as good as, say, Ray Allen, but he's definitely a shooter.

i was only making an observation that these guys meet the criteria of "shooter" according to thier stats... not necessarily by thier playing time, or the frequency of 3point shots taken. just because a guy doesnt jack up 10 3point shots a night...doesnt make them not a shooter.
rose ,wally, fisher, billups all those guys can shoot. ridnour's numbers are almost identical to ray allens.

if the free throw rating has to be 85, only guys with a rating of 85 or above (85% ft shooters) can be a shooter. not kobe, t-mac or pierce for example
not saying they arent great shooters...just they shouldnt be assigned the freestyle ability.

does anyone know what the rating fg 80 means? is that a 40% shooter?
or 3pt 80? (30% 3pt shooter? 35%????)

Funny, I actually saw highlights where Jalen Rose posterized some guy who came in from the weakside. It was a sweet dunk, and it was a big game for Rose, as well.

I dont believe it would be fair to give a Rookie a FSS ability before you see him play in the NBA
