7'1" SF's, 6'8" PG's, 7'5" Centers...

Talk about NBA Live 06 here.

7'1" SF's, 6'8" PG's, 7'5" Centers...

These are my absolute favorite players in the game. Pretty much any player that is more than 2 inches taller than the normal height at their position.

With player growth, you can actually get 7'2" small forwards (I've had two in Live 2005), 6'9" point guards (seen two) and probably 7'6" centers (haven't seen any).

I had a Phoenix Suns team in Live '05 that had a 7'2" PF, a 7'2" SF, a 6'7" point guard who was an 88 OVR, a 7'1" SG (converted from SF) on the bench, along with a 7'1" SF as 6th man. With the exception of the SG, those were their natural positions. They were good, too.

I'm trying to do the same thing with my Utah Jazz team in 06. I tanked a season and got a 7'1" SF who was projected 2nd Overall, but he had Very Limited Potential and is quickly busting. :?

If you spot any players like this in Live 06, especially ones who grew an inch and got even bigger. Please tell. They might pop up on mine also.

So far i've only seen a 7'4 center available and none of those 7'1 PF and SF. PG are also small at just 6'1 or 6'3.

How come none of my players grow? After how many years did you notice growth EG?

a 7'1 SF is intruiging.

I'm not too fond of PG's that are too tall, 6'6 max for me. There are plenty of big 7 footers in the draft though.

Player evolution is to see if any players have grown/gained higher ratings (Y) , it's pretty nifty so you can check out who's the next MJ and stuff

6'8 point guards who could also play a bit of small foward and alternate to shooting guards are my absolutely favourite players. Versatile players that can do it all on the court are so fun because you get to mix and match and experiment with different lineups.

It usually happens between the ages of 18-23. And even then not very often. Remember, also, that I do a lot of Dynasties where I just sim every game until I get a team together that I like. So you have to be patient. My team of giants was in 2026 I think.
So far i've only seen a 7'4 center available and none of those 7'1 PF and SF. PG are also small at just 6'1 or 6'3.

I always look through the entire draft pool, also. From the 1st Overall to the last person who's supposed to go undrafted. Then I scout every potential "freak" in the list (how can you resist?). There are always at least three or so in each draft. It's more rare that you'll find ones with potential to be good though.

I'm not too fond of PG's that are too tall, 6'6 max for me. There are plenty of big 7 footers in the draft though.

Why? I love them. They can play three positions, post-up...everything.
