Moved to 06 Technical Issues.

I think it's been answered before, try searching for it (y) If you don't find it, I'm sure someone will help you out.
By the way, try updating your video card drivers and see if it works..

This is the graphics card that ive got:

Integrated Intel(R) Extreme Graphics 2 up to 64MB of shared memory

could this be the reason of my problem?

Well the minimum required is a '32 MB DirectX 9.0c Compatible Video card', but that is the bare minimum that will start the game up.
64mb these days isn't too good really, 128 is the norm. Whether it's too little for you to play the game with is hard to say, but it may very well be.

yeah maybe..... ill go to the computer store on monday, see if i can upgrade video card.... i have a laptop..... would i have trouble updating the video card?

it just seems so weird, only the court is effcted by the glitch (i just played, and the floor was black) - the court would be the easiest thing for the comp to handle, as it is a static picture

I found changing the resolution to the lowest option helped me with it, now only team logos or NBA logos flash and its barely noticable, + it gives me motivation to go get a graphics card, im hoping this will solve the problem....

Any Tech-Heads out there that know if it will definately help?

Guys, I need your help. I've got the same court flashing problem too.

My PC specs: Pentium3-733MHZ, 256mb RAM, 32mb GeForce2 MX200 video card, runs on windows ME

I was able to play Live 2k5 with maximum detail settings. But with Live 2k6 I first had the problem with chopping graphics. So I decided to update my video card driver from Nvidia. It improved but there came the problem of court flashing especially the logos and later on the whole court blinks. This problem is only present during actual team gameplay. I have no problem with other game modes such as all star events,1on1 and individual practice.
I also tried to lower the detail settings but it still blinks. Is there a problem on my video card? or am I having a shortage in memory? Hope you can help me. Tnx! :)

I came to this forum and thread to look for an answer to the court flash problem. I looked around the forums for the other thread on this topic but couldn't find it. I'll tell you what I did that is so far working perfectly:

I'm on a Sony VAIO, P4 2.4 GHz, 512 MB RAM, Intel Integrated 64 MB Video Card

This will probably work for anyone with the Intel Integrated 64 MB video card - check the model number of the card and go to intel's website to download the newest driver updates. This was mine (82845G). Other ppl might have the same one so here is the link to downloading the driver updates to correct this problem:

Can anyone suggest the correct Geforce Nvidia driver to download? I've downloaded the latest one for Win ME which has the directX 0.0c and the problem still occurs. tnx!

haha, no doubt - glad it worked.

wink - i'm not sure where to get the right driver...maybe check your pc manufacturer's website for updated drivers for the video card and maybe that will fix it.

is it possible that the flashing problem could be eliminated if I downloaded the not so latest version of the driver as long as it is compatible for directX 9.0c ?

Postby gene007man on Sat Oct 22, 2005 8:08 am

I have the similar problem.. the court flashes (court logos) when I am playing exhibition mode with the environment setting being at minimum. It really drives me crazy to see it flashes.

I am using a Samsung laptop with Pentium 4-M (200GHz), 256 RAM, and the graphic card I am using is Mobility Radeon 9000. THe version of directX I am using is 9.0c already. Can anybody help me out? Thanks.
