Apply roster with-out changing sliders

Postby DoubleA on Mon Oct 10, 2005 4:55 pm

Im assuming I can do this somehow, im just not sure what file my sliders are saved in, so basically I can copy/paste the old file into the new rosters, so my sliders dont change.

I learned that the hard way.

As far as I know, Andrews roster doesn't have any affect on your sliders

Correct. Sliders aren't affected by roster files.

I downloaded the new one from nbalive.org today and my sliders were set to default.

Hmm...interesting.

Does it include the settings.dat file? It shouldn't re-set the sliders otherwise.

No, it doesn't.

Double A, I have no idea why yours did that as it didn't happen to me (I always install my patch onto my own game on two computers) or anyone else that I'm aware of.

When I do include sliders with my roster it's in a text file I plop in the main directory (and they're in the readme), and I assume that Andrew does something similar. It should not be changing your game unless you do it manually.

I didn't think so. And yeah, that's the way I've been doing it the last couple of years.

Hey Andrew,
Will you be adding Dr13's team strategy.dbf and playbook dbf's to your rosters? He and Playmaker readjusted all the playbooks in the game. I think it really makes a diff. Just wondering.

Probably not, but I'll probably be editing the plays in the dbfs myself once again this year.
