How do I configure the button for backdown on my controller?

Postby StevenK on Sun Oct 02, 2005 10:19 am

I'm using a PS2 controller with the USB adaptor like I always have for Live on PC, but I can't figure out how to configure the backdown defender move to the right button. It doesn't appear on the controller configuration menu or anything. I know the manual lists it as "R3" but I don't know what field I need to set it as. Does anyone know?

You have to press down on the right analog stick.

But on the 2005 PS2 version, I didn't have to press down on it? Besides, pressing down to back down is so gay. :x

But now on the 06 version you DO have to press it. Your lucky to have a controller, all the guys who are playing on the keyboard can't backdown shit...and we can't box out either! Ha! That's great! :x

I know the manual says that R3 is the default backdown button, but the problem I'm having is that I can't program that button to do the backdown command because I'm using a custom controller setting. You know when you're supposed to press what button you want to shoot/dunk/move around, etc? There's no field for the backdown move.

Alright, so I figured out that backdown would be down on the freestyle analog stick. Still, it's kind of annoying because it's hard to press dunk and shoot this way.

You gotta grow another thumb. LOL. After playing a few games you start to get used to the configuration.

Hey yo I use my ps2 controller for the computer, push the right analog stick to the right. To get into a defensive stance on defense, then movit it to the left.

It's wierd, but you get used to it.

Don't know if this is what it's like for everyone, but that's how it happened to end up for me. I don't see anyway of changing either.
