Talk about NBA Live 06 here.

So far I can only find 1 thing to complain about....

And that is, the players... or point guards to be more specific bringing the ball up the court, they look like the got sumtin stuck up their ass, they're so stiff looking..... you ever see how Iverson pushes the ball up the court, or Marbury, those dudes look like they're fukkin ice skating on the court, they're so smooth, its as if they're gliding accross the parquet floor... I really dont understand how they could miss that in this years game....
cuz that perfectly straight posture looks and feels like ESPN NBA 2K5 ( and probably 2K6 as well, I've seen the preview videos, its like they motion captured robots for their game)
im trying to push the ball up the court with Gilbert Arenas, and anyone who watches him play will swear that this dude has got roller blades under the soles of his shoes, but nope instead he looks like a 7 foot center trying to dribble upcourt.......
and once in a while I will get an opposing player dribble right into my lane between 3 of my big men, and do the robot dribble dance, u kno the one where he drives and in a split second his body twists 180 degrees backwards without the ball hittin the floor once or even leaving his hand, then he'll go forward backward a few times until he gets bored, and then he'll back out and do somethin cool like cross me over and GET HIS ASS SWATTED on the layup attempt...
this game is friggin dope, when I bought Live 05 last year, maaan, I didnt wanna play it after 10 minutes, it was weak, so far I cant get my hands off Live 06, now if they would only fix the ice sliding effect and robotic movement.... how can EA make the motion capture for dunks and crossovers look so amazing but when it comes to the simplest thing, they couldnt get it right, I dont think they even used motion capture for dribbling upcourt......cuz not even a white boy is that stiff when dribblin the ball, I mean daaaaaamn....
maybe I should go to their front door and ask them, ahaha their Burnaby Vancouver office is a 10 minute drive from my house.... thats where they did all the motion capture with Dwayne Wade n stuff....

Maybe Wade was doing the robot dance when they motion captured him.

And the developers are too busy kissing his ass than telling him to redo some of the ugly ass animations.

lol. i know a guy who does some mocap at EA and he said they basically get the guy in for like an afternoon. They basically do what they can with what little time they have. Not only does it cost money, but dudes like Wade got better things to do than hang out in a gym with a bunch of wires stickin out of them in some lame space aged suit.
Most of the mocap is done using struggling local actors that barely know how to play bball.

It's EA's fault for not able to solve the sliding problem. Not the actor. EA doesn't want to start over in their coding and therefore keep on reusing that crappy ice skating coding.

It's a well known fact that EA has a mo-cap team that does most of the mo-capping for the games. The stars do some stuff, but like someone already said, the NBA superstars have better things to do than do mo-capping for three weeks for a computer game. So most of the moves are done by other people than the guy "doing the mo-capping"... (Wade in this case)

they should hire players like joel przybilla for the motion capture... he would give players in the post a more realistic move... I hate the 2k6 dunk package, for non superstars players.. That one hand dunk is so unreal and arcadish.. Can´t stand mark madsen and other players dunking like that...
