Backdown/Box Out

Postby Jeff_Hornacek on Thu Sep 29, 2005 12:59 am

I Use a dual acion logitech controler.
The new low post/back down sets are working well on offense. On defense is really hard, once the same command is for back down on defense / box out a player on teh def board...
The problem is once my right thumb is busy, I can´t press the steal button, my poiting finger is too slow or I am just not used to. :)
Damn!

the backdown/face up/box out is the down position of the free style analog stick (axis)........I mean, if you have a 2 analog stick control..
Can´t do that with a keyboard..

Im with peja on this one, for xbox... holding the right analog down while tryin to move and or steal is difficult, just to many buttons to hold now.... it should just be the left trigger again (even though it's freestyle thing) cuz then ur already to do a stopper move or steal etc

when would you ever be boxing out AND stealing at the same time???
Boxing out is for defensive rebounds. Stealing is for playing man to man defense.
I don't get what the problem is. Why would you be attempting a steal after a guy has already shot the ball?

EDIT: if you're talking about not being able to steal while you are facing up on defense, just push left or right on the right stick to attempt a steal. There's no reason to push the steal button on defense anymore (unless you are a stopper of course).

Yeah, I figured it later... no reason to press the steal, unless you´re a stoper..

I have NBA Live on PC and I'm using a controller with 2 analog sticks. However, when I move the right analog stick down, my player does not backdown. He just does a crossover move. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

Don't just press it instead hold it down while moving the player towards the basket.
