Spamming is bad Toxic.

We've had a lot of these topics, I hope it won't continue like this for the coming weeks. People have opinions, some like the game, some don't. We can't persuade people to like it or "play it properly". So, no real point in making these threads.

Regardless, I'm glad you enjoy your copy of the game though. (Y)

No worries, we've all done it one time or the other. As long as we don't make it a habit eh?

I also want to play Live! I've been playing 2005 just to prepare myself. I still gotta wait 14 days for my PS2 to USB converter though. :(

Hey Wormy10, I know u will be playing Live on PS2 like me(last sunday, my Gforce 4 ti4200 suddenly broke down so I don't have choice, I just replaced it with my reseved vc TNT2 :shake: ), could u tell if it has a good graphics and a stable framerate on PS2? I mean others on the board playing live on PS2 was either ohh the graphics suckks big time on ps2 or ohhh the graphics is amazing on ps2.

To be honest, this is just from what ive seen, they arent heaps and heaps better from 05' but the are definently a big improvement, i never have any stalls, and the animations for the freestyle shit is great (Y)
I dont think you will be dissappointed, anything else?

Nice tnks, I know ur the only I can trust on this (Y)

So do u think the framerate is about the same as live 2005 but 06 has better details?
I know gameplay is better, it's the only thing I really know.

The number of frames of an animation which are displayed every second, measured in frames per second (fps). The higher the frame rate, the smoother the animation will appear but the more processing power and system bandwidth is required.

At less than 30 fps, the human eye can see the new pictures coming onto the screen.
To give you an idea, Live 2003 and live 2004 on ps2 was 60fps, live 2005 on ps2 was 30fps(not as smooth as 2003 and 2004).
All NBA 2K from 2K1 to 2K5 was 60fps and I'm sure 2K6 is 60fps. Madden NFL has always been 60fps.
Ok how about the smoothness of the animation of 06, is theres any slowdown?

Nope, everything from my eye looks as smooth as can be. I see what you are saying now about (FPS) I noticed 05' had its moments where it was just glitchy and stalling etc. but I have not had a problem with that in 06', so im guessing its run on 60 fps

Ok that makes it clear tnks, by the way a game can be a 30fps smooth with no slowdown, and a game can be 60fps with slowdown. NBA Live 2003 is a smooth 60fps on ps2 with no slowdwdown while Live 2004 on PS2 was 60fps but actually had some slowdowns. Live 2005 was 30fps and had some slowdowns and glitchy texture thing.
So atleast I know Live 06 on PS2 is smooth even it's running on 30fps and if the game is actually 60fps, that would be a major bonus :)
Hopefully, I'll getting mine this Friday or Saturday.

Sorry to disappoint but NBA Live 06 for PS2 is still 30 frames per second not 60 frames per second. Although 06 is 30 fps it still plays pretty smooth and it has improved over NBA Live 05 for PS2. However the game is not 60 fps.
Don't hate the playa, hate da game.

Yup, I already have it, the PS2 version is only 30fps but it's still a great game. I also saw the Xbox version from my friend, and it's 60fps with some minor slowdowns and it's more detailed, the graphics of live 06 in xbox is almost like a PC(that is if u have good graphic card)

Well I got it on PC, graphics look choppy but the gameplay is smooth enough for me, graphics don't matter to me as long as I can differentiate between Odom & Bryant, which I can at the moment.

Now to wait 13 more days for my PS2 to USB converter. Then only will I re-play the game. :D
