Best Players in NBA Live 2003

Postby bballer22 on Mon Mar 31, 2003 10:32 pm

after playing with almost eevry player i have to say that the 2 best players in the game are at 1. Wang ZHIZHI- as a CPU his nothing but he's ga,e is unbelivable, CPU falls for every fake, he can be but at the SG and shoot 3s like no tomora, he can drive and dunk, he can block, rebound. i had him MVP afte only playing as him for 15 games out of 28, coz douring those games as SUPERSTAR he got 55 ppg, 11 rpg, and 9 bpg

2. Yao ming- Also MVP in his rookie year, he's just unstobable. he can shoot mid range over anyone, CPU fals for every fake (even player whorate higher then him like shaq) he also had 33 ppg easy

3.Vince- u jsut dont need to do anything els but get close to the basket and he'll dunk, i traded my entire dals team just for him and se what happend, i won all 28 game easy at supersatr.

but really any tall player that has 99 on dunk, u dont even need anyone els or D-fance, and 7 footer whos got 93 at 3pt and FG like wang ZHIZHI can shoot all day
and not even dirk have such high rating at shhooting???

but u mast have want zhizhi on ur team to win all games!!!

Wang ZHiZHi is the best, points maker
Kobe is Second, points maker
O'Neil is third, defence and offence are high, rebounds are all mismatch

Have you tried fast hookshot to wang, in a 15ft. line, i can do it even 3 tightD on me. slow or fast hookshot, the ball gets in. can u tell me who's your player that make that kind of move thats works.

is it a bug or something? the cpu controlled players are always being faked when you fake the shot!? You guys may give it a try, just keep faking before dribbling, cpu must jump and you can drive for the easy basket.....omg, too easy to score.

Which difficulty setting are you playing on? That trick doesn't work for me (though it used frequently in NBA Live 2000) very often, unless I'm facing a bad defender.

We're playing on a superstart level, try this; go near the ring then press a quick backdown the shot button, that is the fast hookshot, even stupid players makes a big shot, remember height is important. another 1; press backdown near the ring hold it for a second then press shot. a true hook shot, but this works only for Wang (home or away team) , also for Patt Garity (home court only). Try this, if it work for u, then very good. We do this because we need a sure score, because we are gambling. Give other Tips, then i'll give u all the things i know in NBA2003, bugs or not, i know lots of it. even putting your opponents players to the floor but theres no foul.

in this game they maked sure that the bad playes dont get faked but good... its just the FG rating... if u have Z vs Shaq, and Z fakes shaq will fall for it, coz his rating is lower. for wang its just coz he's tall and got a sg's rating... i know in nba2001 if u would give a 6'6 or shorter, mayeb a bit taller player a dunk rating of 99 he would still do a layup, but a taller guy would dunk, use to piss me off with MJ doing layups in 1on1...

but i think the best trick f them all is, fast players, i have Claxton making 18ppg off the bench, all u do is keep driving while chanching ur speed, first go normal then boost a buit then notmal...

it seems like the game has a no miss zone, well.. almost... its a base line shot mabe as far as a foot from the key line, a SG a PG anyone will make that shot, the closer the better...

what i'm trying to say is, you don't need to fake, i said even low FG ratings can make a Field Goal shot. Like Samake Walker, or someone with a lower FG rating can make a shot not missing it, in a fast hookshot shot ofcourse. :)
I joined a tournament here in my place, i wanna know more moves that is i never heared before, can u pls. tell what other secrets in NBA2003. I've search a lot in NBA2003, (perfecting it), maybe u know something i don't know.
Move 1: Intentional foul: When a your opponent shoot for a 3, mke an intentional foul when the ball is still in the air, all of your opponents players will fall, a quick rebound, then fast break will they are standing up.
Move 2: Lock players: u can intentionally lock players in the controls. Make an illegal defence, put your man, underneath your ring, 4 or your players will go down to guard. then when u have the possesion of the ball press PASS button then automatically the one who hold the ball will pass it on to you, remember your underneath the ring, so dunk it will the others is still going down, they will not catch you, it's a very cheap strategy and so dirty play. but effective score.
Move 3: Strength: This only works with strength 84above; to perfect it.
In Turbo Mode, Hold BACKDOWN, then try to bump your opponent, your opponent will fall if he is 80below strength. We called it "never taking your vitamins". it's hard to perfect but it is not dirty, because we are using strength stats. Tips never bump Shaq. he 99 strength and never fall.

If you had any other tips or moves you can tell me, pls. i would gladly wanna know it and practice it to use as an advantage. :)

If you're playing agaisnt the PC turn fullcourt defnece on then sneak up behind the pg when he's about to get the ball inbounded. when the ball is halfway towards him move towards the player while pressing take charge. If they have good offensive awareness this won't always work. But I've fouled out Franchise before

i still think that player lock is the best think u can do to win, if u have shaq, then forget the team, he can do 120ppg, thats what i had on superstar..... its too easy like that.
but my move is in the low block what happens is the CPU player PG most of the time has kinda like a isolation with him and the post player, as soon as he passes the ball to the post player press take charge, and ur almost guranteed take charge..

also, so u don get called for charge offecnce, only use the post up move for no more then 2 or 3 steps, then let go and shoot righ away!!!

Do you mean my best player out of all of them to play with? Or the best player on my current team? On my current Team, with the 21st pick in a fantasy. Stack, D-Miles, Van Exel, Olowokandi and JYD? One of my fav to use is Eddie Griffin, cause he shoots the 3 can post up, very wuick, can run the break, gets a lot of rebounds. And I like me in the game too. :)
