EA does it AGAIN - no save player stats

Is this the appropriate place to bitch and moan about how EA have ONCE AGAIN fucked up by leaving out the "Save Stats" option on the player stats screen for an exhibition game.

Basically the exact same dopey crap as last year.

Even a 2yr old would learn quicker from their mistakes.


I only buy this frickin game to play in a league - and if you can't save stats then its a frickin pain in the arse.

Also - the Substitution screen does NOT list game stats.

AGAIN - exactly the same lame crap as Live05.


Its like its the same crap, repackaged with different graphics.....deadset - I am pretty much at the end of my patience with NBALive.

NBALive got its following from the long term, year and year PC players who have followed the game through thick and thin.....the NBALive community lives on patching and leagues.....yet year after year they turn their backs on the people who gave their game a following....dickheads!

It'd take little effort to incorporate a feature which gives their game a BIG following.....yet they just port the featureless console stuff straight over with no thought - despite the same deficiencies being pointed out every year.....its lame - REALLY LAME!!!

I agree, its an unfortunate oversight. But I don't agree that it outweighs any improvements to Dynasty or gameplay or makes the game completely lame.

I never said teh gameplay is lame (tho I haven't really had a chance to give it a decent run) - I ment their production is lame.

There was all this hoohar about how some joint venture with ESPN would improve the production.....but where? - its the same thing repackaged with some fancy moves.

Well the hype I read about it seemed to indicate it might improve the game production in some way.....I don't think it has contributed at all - its just given them a licence to make it.

The ESPN-part will not be included until NBA Live 07

Not sure where you might have read that, but that would never have been the case. It's always just been a licensing thing with ESPN the broadcaster. Unless there's another deal I'm not aware of.

And Habakkuk's right, the ESPN deal won't kick in until NBA Live 07 at the earliest.

It's amazing how they left this out again, even after a huge amount of complaints last year, especially from league owners. Amazing.

Touche. But if anything is going to be left out or neglected, I'd rather it be a feature like this, as opposed to something in Dynasty Mode (which from what I've seen so far looks like it has improved even though there's still room for growth) and gameplay (ditto). I don't want to sound insensitive or condescending to those who do make regular use of the Save Stats feature - I only ever save boxscores - but there'd be much more of an uproar if nothing was done about Dynasty Mode or gameplay.

But it is strange that it's left out, especially after the complaints and the patch to fix it last year. I suppose that suggests a patch to fix it won't be out of the question this year, but we'll see.
