 sorry man. my comprehension skills is way outdated. just like the folks you breifly describe. yeah i think in the world population, only 2% are computer literate enough to check the power plugs connection if their computers has no power one morning

"What, I have to be online to check my email?!?" That's one of my favourites.

LOL here's a few too i get back in the office from old folks

" hmmm you mean to say if i turn off the monitor the Computer is still running? but in the background?"

"why does my CDrom drive play music? is it some sort of a cd player?"

"if you said my diskette drive needs cleaning, it has some sort of virus in it right?"

and the best one so far i have heard [one of my supervisors]

"don't go near ms. lopez PC reynald, it has a virus. you don't want to catch a cold touching her keyboard now don't you?"

"don't worry sir. i'm wearing gloves"

pretty hillarious stuff don't you think? :P

I suppose those of us who are computer literate do take those things for granted, but they're still funny. The worst ones are the customers that know nothing about computers, ring up for help then try to tell you how things are done.

Probably not.

I've never heard anything quite like that, but it's probably around the lsame evel of computer illiteracy. Back in high school we did have a substitute computers teacher that instructed us "don't change the background image or the computer will break". She was widely disliked.
