custom shoes for created players

Postby deebee on Tue Jan 28, 2003 2:03 am

hey guys, what I want to know is, how do you make your created players wear customized shoes that have been made by patchers? also how can you put custom gear on your created player for practice/1-on-1? thanks!

- Open players.dbf with a DBF editor...(assuming you know where to find players.dbf and you have a DBF editor)

- Scroll and find your player

- Edit PLAYERPKG to your players id (e.g. Allen iverson = alivers, Tim Duncan = tidunca, Amare Stoudemire = amstoud)

- Edit ISCREATED to 'False'

- Create a folder in C:\Program Files\EA SPORTS\NBA Live 2003\render called xplayer

- Create a folder in C:\Program Files\EA SPORTS\NBA Live 2003\render\xplayer with the name of your players id (eg. C:\Program Files\EA SPORTS\NBA Live 2003\render\alivers, C:\Program Files\EA SPORTS\NBA Live 2003\render\xplayer\tidunca)

- then place the prxx.fsh file in there like you would any player jersey update :)

okay I've done that but afterwards when I view my player, he has a blackface and none of his 'looks' are there. Is there a way to get around this?

It's because you also have to make that player a cyberface.
It also frustrates me, because i ain't good at making cyberfaces, but i still want that jersey for my playa... D*amn it!

Is that unavoidable? I really wanted to change my created player's shoes without messing up the player's other looks.

all you really need to do is get a dbf editor and go find your created players name, then scroll to his playerpkg copy what it says (its probably like zzzqctus something like that)that then make a folder in the xplayer folder the same as the playerpkg of your created player, then throw some shoes or practice gear up in their for your dude then u straight.

If you don't do any of that it will work fine, no black faces.
