All My Jobs

Postby Fenix on Tue Aug 30, 2005 8:36 pm

I just got two new one - now I have four. I'm a waiter in a bar, I work at the local radio station, at the TV station and it looks like I'll run the stats for our basketball team (1.B Slovenian league). I'm so cool that it isn't even funny. So, what are your jobs?

I only have one job. I work in a hospital and I work their as a kitchen hand. My duties are preparing meals for patients(placing meals on patients trays), delivering meals to patients, washing dishes, restocking foods in fridges, cupboards, etc. I like working there because I can eat free foods.

I work at a local supermarket. I stock products and somehow I seem to be in charge. It's not even funny.

When you're stocking stuff, there's bound to be something left over. Well, when you've got stuff left, you're supposed to put it in a number 23 cart. This new chinese dude that's working under me is like...15 orso and he came out with number 17 last time.

I was already working like 6 hours & hadn't eaten so I was cranky. In the nicest way possible I told him to get a number 23 cart because the 17 shouldn't be used for our section.

Chinese dude: :eh:
Me: This, is a 17. You. Need a 23.
Chinese dude: :eh:
Me:  Again. This is 17, you need 23. We're not supposed to use 23.
Chinese: But I'm 15?

Me: :x :furious: Get away from here, go stand somewhere else.
Chinese dude: But I'm supposed to work here. Where should I go.
Me: I don't know, just...get out of my face. Now.

I felt kinda bad afterwards since it was like his 3rd time working and stuff. And if I'm not mistaken I saw his parents going :shake: at me yesterday.

"But I'm 15." Gah, I don't care how old you are, do I look 23 to you?! The cart is called 23! :x

Sorry for going offtopic, I'll take it to the letting off steam thread.

Perhaps I should begin watching that series. Seems funny. Then again, they don't show it on tv so I want to be sure it's worth the time I'll invest in...getting it.

I work at Burger King. Good thing I work in the morning so I don't have to do anything stupid like make burgers.

Overall, the job sucks but it puts food on..er, it put money in my purse..I mean wallet.

Are you for real? I use to work at McDonald's and they were very strict in not letting you take any of the food. They gave you an employees discount card and you could use that but they were strict on not taking any free food.

Now I work at Burger King which has the same policy. But I serve breakfast so I don't have to eat when I finish my shift or during break.

Helpdesk/support technician for a local Internet provider, started back in July. So far I've been able to gather extensive evidence that a lot of people that own computers...shouldn't.

No, I was saying that based on a lot of the tech calls I take, a lot of people are extremely incompetent with computers and (jokingly) suggesting they shouldn't own one or undeserving of the technology they possess. Of course by explaining that, I've stripped my post of any wit or humour it once had. Thanks COOLMac.
