That was one of the best drafts I've seen in the dynasties lol... great commentary! Love the Lemarcus Aldridge pick btw!

Oh yeah X... good luck in finding a starting SG... maybe u can sign someone and send that guy + McCants in a package?

Will be interesting!

BTW:

CB4 = Biggest Loser! Too much talent
Ceekay = I predict he has the highest chance at gaining PT

Hey man, that´s the first time i´ve visited your dynasty and it´s simply amazing! Keep it up man!

http://www.nbaliveforums.com/ftopic27434.php
The term "Knickerbockers" traces its origin back to the Dutch settlers who came to the New World -- and especially to what is now New York -- in the 1600s. Specifically, it refers to the style of pants the settlers wore ... pants that rolled up just below the knee, which became known as "Knickerbockers," or "knickers".

that was an amazing job on the draft man, i loved reading it.
noticed the part of me. lol :P

and saw fellow chineseman Tang in there, not too bad.
so the next draft is 2008? don't forget Yi Jianlian and Sue Yue, Yi was projected to be the 1 or 2 pick on nbadraft.net until the CBA incorporated the age limit, and Sue is projected to go around the 40's as of now.

again, i would like to say superb draft.

Damn man nice draft presentation, even without pics it was good. Since this is probably the only big dynasty still 'running', I was pretty excited about the draft and I was in it too. Well, you lived up to the hype. (Y)

Nice draft recap. Dynasty looks really good man. BTW I wanted to tell you this. I was looking for a Gerald Green pic on google and came across this one:

before I reply to all the quotes individually, when I logged on a few hours ago I was very surprised and humbled by the response I received....I thought I might have let a few of you down by not having some pics or anything like that, but it was the opposite, with the feedback being great....it's always good to know that other people get enjoyment out of reading my dynasty....for those who know me, they know I luv rookies and especially the draft and the college game and it is one of my favourite parts of bball and Live....

anyways....

preston19 wrote:Nice draft

reckon youve got another promising season ahead

cheers....that's confidence considering how many holes my team had after the draft had been completed....

BTW:

cheers....you could be a seer Sit  the hunt for SG will be shown soon....and I'd have to agree with your calls on who the winners and losers were....we saw how much trouble jxuusa had last season getting PT, now CB4 is in the same position....I'm going to try and find a better situation for jxuusa where he can get a few more minutes, and CB4 will have to find his niche on the Sonics' bench  ceekay seems to be in an alright situation, I wonder if he will opt to hold onto his trade exception or want to move somewhere else....should be interesting....as for trade exceptions, I'll do yours after I finish off-season coverage....as for the winners, I really like the situations that pHLo and Mafia ended up in....both are in pretty good and improving teams with ageing players directly ahead of them at their positions so they have a chance to develop into bigger roles....

Nietzschean Pride/DWeaver wrote:Great offseason, X... Just read it all right now as I've been painfuly busy the last few days... keep this up, bro! (Y)

cheers....and yep, I understand the pressures of juggling a professional career, a woman and the all important NBA Live dynasties  good to have you around and hope to see some of your dynasties get rolling again once you have some more free time....

cheers....I would have preferred Mardy Collins but McCants is a nice player and is probably a better fit for my team than Mardy either way....without Luke Walton, I'm in dire need of a backup SF....let's see what I can do :P

cheers....as for Tang, yep, he went about 10 spots higher than I predicted but the Heat must have saw something they liked in him :P as for Yi, he won't be in 2008 class, but the 2009 class....this is because I had no real rookies in 2005 class (the "That Guy" class) and had to push every other class back a year....not sure who Sue is though....will have to check it out....

nbalive744 wrote:dude how long did it take you to do that amazing draft?

cheers for compliment....I'd say it took a couple of hours....it didn't take as long as what one would think as I had the template from the 2006 draft and just had to change draftees and comments....the actual summary wasn't that much work....as Seraph, micchy_boy and all the other dynasty guys can attest to, it is actually the dbf editing that is the mind-numbing, soul sucking, time consuming activity that we hate....but it's worth it to see real guys and faces in there, even if it does seem like a drag at time (which I always procrastinate due to this fact)....

Emiliano wrote:Amazing draft X! I think you did a great job getting McCants. He's the future
Loving the off-season (Y)

cheers....as for McCants, I was so close to selecting Ike Diogu, but my dire need for a SG pushed me towards Rashad in the end....he's the future, hmm....I'm not so sure about that....if he can help shore up the SG spot first and foremost then I'll be happy....

hornets_fan wrote:dude u got the best dynasty ever

cheers mate....appreciate the praise....I will continue as long as the desire and support is there....time or lackthereof is always a factor, but you become attached to a dynasty so I'll try to keep it going until Live '06 comes out....once Live '06 comes out, my plan is to sim the rest of the years and give a recap of how the rest of the dynasty and NLSC-ers panned out....

Drex wrote:I haven't been to too many Dynasties this year (only Mafia's, Sit's and sometimes Dweaver), but this one is surely one of the bests! Keep it up, man (Y)

and the one post that spun me out the most....

wow, I'm shocked man....you were checking for Gerald Green pics on Google and the search came up with a link to my dynasty  that's crazy :P glad you stayed to read and enjoyed reading up on my dynasty....the thing that humbles me (and other main dynasters) is when someone says that you have inspired them to do a dynasty....it's an honour....reading Cocobee's superb dynasty inspired me to start mine....

that's all....cheers for compliments....

EDIT: with all of the replies to the posts, I've run out of time for an update tonight as I need some zzz's....will try to do July update of Free Agency Period tomorrow night after tennis and August update of Free Agency and the Trade Period the following night....

yea tennis. :)
and sue is like a 20 year old kid who the china national team has been trying to get to play on the national team for the last 2 years. because sue's club team, beijing aoshen, is privately owned, the owner for some reason didn not allow sue to compete, resulting in their ban from the CBA, finally this year the owners allowed Sue to compete, but because he put up another fight to not let him play, they've been baned from the CBA again.
The theory behind this is that the aoshen owners fears that if his kids get international competition or something, they might not want to go back to aoshen, they might wanna go elsewhere for competition. Then about a week ago, he signs a deal with the University of the West in Los Angeles and moves the whole team to LA and enrolled them in the university. Sue will join the team in LA after he finishes his national team duties. The Aoshen team doesn't have a player like over 21 or something. And the move to USA is interesting because finally chinese players are getting to play american competition and get better. Couple days ago, Pete Carroll, mastermind of the Prinction offense, coached them on the backdoor cuts, and they used it to beat the Long Beach Jam. Sue will become even better because of this.

So in short, Sue is the next prodigy after Yi, oh yeah, he is a 6'9 guard, and a lefty and great dunking. and there are a couple other great kids like Yi Li, Xu Yong and stuff. ask me if you need all the info you need for the asians prospects, cause i pretty much have all of them scouted out.

I look foward to seeing the trades. maybe something worthwhile happened

yep, if you could email me a small profile on the main guys who in real life would be in the 2007 & 2008 NBA Drafts (when they turn 22)....basically, height, weight, strengths, weaknesses....so on....no rush on it obviously, but feel free to....

talking about international prospects, Sit should be happy to know that Brad Newley will be in the 2008 draft....a likely mid 2nd Round pick....would have gone a little higher had I not made the 2008 draft so strong and deep after a weaker 2007 draft....

you can send me a pm with your profile and link to your cyberface if you wish....although, I do stress that you must have a cyberface....I will not put generated people in....nothing personal as I've knocked back many other people for the same reason....so yep, if your cyberface is uploaded somewhere then just pm me the location and I'll download from there like I did for jugs....
