janis is a rock legend... another lever, completely.

No comparisons with pop trash, please.

It wasn't a comparison.

ok i agree with the madonna thing. but why shouldn't female artists dance?
dancing is considered art as well lol
alanis morisette is ok. i've been to a sarah maclaughlin (sp?) concert and while the music is cool but it had to be one of the boringest concerts i've been to. there's a bunch of butches there and all you do at these type of concerts is stand there and light your lighter lol

but why shouldn't female artists dance?
Because dancing is generally a pre-requisite for shit music.

I know he's a bit feminine but he's not one of the female artists I was refering to.

Sweeet

I'm a recent fan of Megadeth, and wasn't quick enough to pick up tickets for their sydney shows .
Judas Priest is great
I'm trying to get tickets to see Motley Crue, the only decent rock acts for the 2nd half of this year.
And I dont mind Fleetwood Mac, Stevie Nicks was quite the junkie back in teh day

great song writer.

then don't use a blanket statement for the whole industry
Sun Jul 24, 2005 7:12 pm

... anyways, Michael Jackson was a great dancer... but look at him now. Another blanket statement, DANCING IS A PRE REQUISITE FOR CHILD MOLESTATION!!
Don't kill me

Speaking of Michael Jackson, I was at HMV yesterday buying some DVDs and they were playing some old Michael Jackson concert on the TV screens. While making my purchases, I asked the counter guy what DVD that was, and he told me that it's a new Michael Jackson DVD that's coming out in two days

I think that's a good marketing gimmick, getting his popularity back up after that whole child molestation trial. Anyways, it's called Michael Jackson Live In Budapest or some other city.
Edit: It's titled Michael Jackson Live In Bucharest

Same here, although I just saw his CD. Some double CD with all of Jackson's greatest hits.
Mon Jul 25, 2005 4:46 am
Which one? The DVD or his music CDs?
Mon Jul 25, 2005 5:14 am
That was probably "The Essential Michael Jackson hits" Double CD that just got released.
Worth buying actually
Mon Jul 25, 2005 5:51 am
That's it, it's the Essential CD. I couldn't remember the name, just that it was a double CD.
His music CD Cyanide.

Music that reflects me now:
Be Yourself - Audioslave
The Remedy (I Won't Worry) - Jason Mraz
If I'm feeling pissed, any Rage Against the Machine songs notably Know Your Enemy, No Shelter, Take the Power Back, Guerilla Radio, and Sleep Now in the Fire.
Mon Jul 25, 2005 1:23 pm
^^^ where were you?
joining street protest lately ?
Mon Jul 25, 2005 7:25 pm
Not really.
Take the Power Back - When I'm pissed with academia. Listen to the lyrics COOLmac.
No Shelter, Guerilla Radio - Pissed with the media. They always sensationalize worthless crap and bend the truth for ratings, which they dictate to our less fortunate countrymen to enjoy and absorb as the "real" thing.
Sleep Now in the Fire, Know Your Enemy - I'm sick of what is being dictated as this and that to be the new social norm.
but I'm not pissed right now.
I'm also listening more to Must Get Out by Maroon 5.
